Cities should be an open source game. the community has already modified this game so much that Paradox / Colossal does not need to do anything else (after all, every time they decide to change something it ends up stopping us from playing for two weeks until all mods are updated). One thing I noticed that you can do with the Node Controller is the possibility to make lane transitions smoother. I haven't tested it on customs roads like CSUR, but in the vanillas it worked perfectly. Cars don't chance lanes in a horrible way anymore, at leats at points that I determine. This makes the game much more real. Thanks for this tutorial, friend!
@Akruas4 жыл бұрын
It probably won't work with CSUR as they don't have the intersection models that can be smoothened. I tried it on nodeless railways and it just pushes the segments away.

@grzegorzwasaznik16344 жыл бұрын
@@user-wq9mw2xz3j i disagree with move it and tmpe u can do things which u cant do with vanilla game without exploiting mechanic (u need dead end one way roads to make interchanges merge in reasonable way) move it allows you to stack diffrent buildings in the same place (besides all conviniences) all things plt does u can plt does u can do by hand it requires a lot of effort but so does recreating mona lisa in paint). technically u could edit roads so they have nodes behave the way u want but it would force you to make new road for each interchange which would take ages, way more time than just placing trees relatively evenly spaced or in circle.

Honestly I've been looking for a way to do this for years where I don't have to sit an manually drag out junction 100 different ways til it finally looks ok and then spend hours placing decals. I tried CSUR for a while but that mod is a headache. The pieces just don't work with vanilla one way roads well at all and it's an utter headache trying to navigate the UI achieve anything I spend as much time trying to figure out what road I need with their convoluted system and lack of support for left-hand drive previews I might as well stick to the original method. As much as I appreciate the effort of the other modders, Mods like the ones shown in this video are what I love about the community. Simple, elegant solutions that work with the vanilla assets without extremely complicated UI and don't require complex dedicated websites explaining every aspect of the mod.

The game released in 2015. The game OVERACHIEVED. No one expect this game to blow up. Of course it’s easy to say these things. It took the community 5 years of mods to make this game better so you can’t expect the devs 5 years ago to predict this outcome. Now, it’s been 5 years and we can see what people want. I’m sure people enabled at least 60+ mods so it means adding in 60+ features. Assets goes, I don’t believe the devs are that creative to sculpt good looking buildings and you can’t blame them. The engine of this game already hits it’s peak, we need a better engine. This game poorly optimized. It’s no surprise of the Next Gen Console releasing, this is an opportunity for Colossal Order to make a C:S2. It would be good business if the devs pull a 2k and make it so that if you already buy C:S, you get the C:S2 for free on Next Gen. All the DLC, 60+ added features, etc. will be there. This is a big “What If”.

@czerskip4 жыл бұрын
That's because the mod gives you god powers over almost all network settings, and with such power, it's easy to break things, making a kinds of glitches that the vanilla game shouldn't do (hence all the pillar or angle limitations in the vanilla hame that multiple anarchy mods unlocked before).
