i really hope they improving the aesthetics. for now it feels like midjourney lost its soul. if, for example, i prompt a photo from the 60s, it shouldn't have such a clean and digital look and feel. it often looks very sterile and trimmed for too much perfection. the old versions still had their own charm

They can leave in nudity for Germany, Netherlands and all of Scandinavia, they are used to mixed public saunas and will not freak out. And the team should concentrate on prompt understanding. If any of you have made comparing prompts between Midjourney and DALL-E 3, you know what I mean. It still is as slotmachine.

@@sherpya True. Dude, appreciate your comment. Of course I know that. And there's no way they can allow it for certain countries, it's a joke. I understand, why all AI companies are scared that people could do nasty stuff with it. Truth is: They already do with Stable Diffusion on local PCs. Funny thing: Way back when the internet started, it used to be agreed that p*rn was a main driver behind it all. Which this time is not true with AI (if it ever was before). But nudity doesn't hurt. Dictators hurt, and war, and inhumane behavior hurts. Man, it's a crazy world.

I understand this idea of trying to have certain basic standards, but there is some kind of false notion these days that if you can just tweak everything a certain way, then you can please everyone, and offend nobody. What it really seems to be to me is that everything is an opportunity to try to make people act and do as you want them to do; its the classic pitfall "if everyone would just do what I want, then the world would be perfect". One of these days I hope these large algorithm owners (AI, social media, etc) will figure out that the only thing that works is a few basic rules to keep things from completely degenerating is the best thing; otherwise all they will be doing is constantly bouncing like a pinball between one displeased faction or another. Also the definition of "unsafe" seems to be encompassing more and more; its like, oh my, if people feel uncomfortable then that's "unsafe". Unsafe is facilitating illegal behavior, unsafe is allowing things that drive the whole community away, Unsafe is NOT a revealing bikini. Midjourney needs to get off of Discord for one thing; there are a lot of young kids there that are not compatible with adult standards and rules. At least Midjourney isn't advertiser supported; I am happy to pay $10 a month so at least they aren't trying to please all advertisers all the time like YT.

No you're right. It's slightly more expensive right now. But optimizations coming soon will make it cheaper again

I was wondering… Why is MidJourney struggling so much on drawing hands and feet?

it's just an A.I thing - training data includes pictures where hands are obscured (around a waist, holding hands, over the shoulder) so the a.i learns all these different 'looks' of hands, and it has a hard time understanding that hands only look weird from that specific angle. Hope that makes a little sense

Actually Vs. 6 is doing very well at accurate hands...when they are close up. I find the farther they are "from the camera" the less accurate.
