traffic should be swept around the city by ringroads not a highway that goes straight trough the middle. With that new space you can build more public transport, even less traffic, crazy

I have opposite problem. I built an expansive high density highway network and my city has 600k and all of a sudden everyone walks milles instead of driving. Traffic is now non existent. Is this a bug? I have pedestrians walking everywhere even on the highways!

Daz!!! You know I take care of folks I eminent domain. For example, if you were one of the 5 single family units demolished at 5:48 you would have gotten around a $5 million payout (not including the assistance to find and purchase a new home available in the city), so you are probably not gonna be thinking about going in to work anywhere ever again, woot! Businesses that were knocked down get first selection of business/office space built on the land they held so most of the companies picked the top floors of the new buildings with the awesome views (a lot of businesses will then sell their space out to the highest bidder and use that money for expansion elsewhere). The Mayor's office has received no complaints! I actually have went into great detail in my own headcanon about how to handle eminent domain and I usually do some simple survey and calculation of displacement costs based on city income, reserves and local business profitability, so the $5 mil per family payout is legit according to my books. It is an interesting game loop I can play on a spreadsheet that was not organically intended but I have a lot of fun doing it. And Daz you know all about unintended game loops! Cheers brother 🍻
