Today, Jack Sears and I started our studio session working on a new experimental album by improvising over a field recording taken that morning of myself walking about a half mile through 6-inch-deep snow. The trudging turns into a lovely groove once I put my backpack on and while I manipulate the tape's playback speed, the groove follows my own walking pace (for an unathletic fellow like myself) pretty closely. Jack brought his handpan and pedal boxes to play alongside my filter instrument.
Recorded in Studio E in the Capital University Conservatory of Music, January 9th, 2025.
Keep up with Jack and I's endeavors in the coming months as we work on our new project by subscribing to this KZbin channel to have our videos delivered straight to your home page!
