At 8:37, you talk about not repeating use of the pinky (got it), but you did repeat your thumb on the walking bass at 2:05 which seems like the same no-no?

Great as always, master. Just a curiosity: why is this called "upper structure" ? Initially, I confused it with the upper neighbors you used to improv on...

Can you talk about the concepts behind your choices? Random combinations of techniques seldom work, and for the student without a concept he's left with nothing else.

As a beginner, it is hard for me to see that, even when he plays the wrong note, he still sounds good. But every mistake we do almost always sound awkwardly horrible.
