I hope someone else has already commented this, but there was a famous battle in WW2 called The Battle of the Bulge. It is widely known as the last major offensive attack of the Germans before the end of the war, and it was won largely through new technology in tanks :D I have no idea if this was an intentional playoff or just a beautiful, beautiful coincidence, but I really hope people know either way XD I love it so much

In german it was called Wacht am Rhein, which literally translates to watch on the Rhine (a river), or also Rundstedt-Offensive, so completely different from the English version, i just looked it up and that battle took place so close to where i live, there are many places here where you can still find leftovers of the war, they still find buried bombs sometimes, my friend lives in the area where there was the biggest tank fight she sometimes finds left over bullets or cash, it feels weird knowing that all that happend right were you’re living
