Sun is shining on the left side and makes cuff look lighter, and the ring must have been placed on right for balancing fingers during playing . No matter as long as you keep playing wonderful music . Seen that someone mentioned a hand, now I see the cuff of garment is a different shade and right hand is smaller then left one or is this playing from a mirror as right hand has a ring and Ben's ring is on the left , so therefore hands are correct, keep playing safely and keep well. Is this a combination of notes from the D major scale and the D blues scale? Is that how you pick the notes you play?

Yes exactly. I'm using the D blues scale and adding a few notes from the diatonic scale to make fuller.
