Lynden, you nailed it again. 100% ! No mental theoretical barrier or confusion. Just the space you need to be creative and let the improvisation flow. Wow really heavy stuff. You beat them all. YES for backtracks that would make it a complete improvisation étude. For the occasion it would be nice to give your explantation about the relationship between the key in a backtrack (concert key) and the key to transpose for the alto sax.

Thank you! The backing track is in D major for alto saxophone which is concert F major

Absolutely superb. You've made it very crisp and clear and easy to understand a lot of video sex players forget that people have only been playing 6 months a year or 2 years explained excellent. First seeing you I practice every day and it's so difficult to get information. Sometimes to explain it in layman terms. Professional players forget when they started. So they don't explain the brilliant why you've done it. I hope that makes sense what i'm saying

I want to say it again that since I have been learning and hearing about improvisation I did not get the hang of it untill I came across your video on how to improvise over autumn leaves. Before then I had learned the tune autumn leaves. After the video,It was clear that I was able to sound really really good when follow your technic. Your chord analysis was superb. It helps me gain confidence that I can find my own sound too.

And I will carry over what I have learned in your video. I am glad now that I know the important of harmonic minor scales I was able speak the language before I fairly understand it but now I understand it and I can also speak it. Using your technic will propel my improvement and it's already doing that. My ears is wide open. You're method is superb for adults amateur who thought they have missed the boat because there wasn't much teacher who is given us attention but method of teaching will encourage tons of adult amateur beginners. I would love to buy you a coffee but as I am from a very poor economic Nation. Our currency super low in other words I can't afford it. Never mind it's still possible so pardon me.
