We know this is how Chopin often created his works, by improvising it in this manner then writing it down. We know he often improvised complete pieces on the spot. I always found it difficult to believe but I can see now with my own eyes this happening.

What a privilege to see this in action. When Alma was younger I used to think "Oh, I hope none of those older musicians playing with her will be jealous of her". Today I understand none will. There's nothing to be jealous off because none of us could be Alma Deutscher no matter how hard we work. This is something one is born with and it only happens once in several generations. And I'm so happy to live in this generation and to see this giant talent revealing itself more and more.

I've been experimenting with improvisation my whole life. Had several bands that did shows which were completely unrehearsed and played piano "pieces" which I made up on the spot with people asking afterwards who was it by. Musical improvisation is truly a way to spiritually communicate for humans and it should be more encouraged and practiced in modern popular music world.

Brilliant...is an incredible understatement of your natural creativity! Although I have a jazz violin cd coming out and am recording some arrangements for jazz piano, and have played some of the difficult classical works for both violin and piano.....my dear your creativity from those notes that sequentially sounded dissonant and not making any sense, you somehow came up with what might be a combination of Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Gershwin.
