Angela is definitely my favourite cast member now. She has a knack for over explaining things in a way that makes it seem so dumb yet so funny. In their “acting out our weirdest youtube comment” video, which is improv but using comments as lines to pick out and read and incorporate that into the scene, her line sticks out to me. The scene was her and Shayne acting as cousins wanting to have a sleep over and she said something like “Let’s float it by your mom, my aunt, and my mom, your aunt” and it’s so dumb but makes me laugh every time

I have watched the new short/excerpt of her saying, "I'm not blowing shit up your ass" a few time. "I don't think that's the phrase." Either Courtney missed that or is used to it as she didn't lose it until after his reply.
@IzzyKawaiichi7 ай бұрын
For Shayne and Courtney it really didn't matter that we didn't know about their relationship because people had shipped them FOR YEARS. So whenever they did anything vaguely couple-y-- on accident or on purpose-- the fans would just be like "Ah, they're just feeding the shippers." But there was a duality with that because YEARS ago, when they weren't dating, they made that clear and basically expressed to the fans that they thought it was weird and please don't pressure them. The fandom took that to heart SO MUCH that when they announced their marriage on April Fool's Day, we genuinely didn't know if it was just a joke or if the joke was that they really WERE married and announced it that day just to screw with us. Obviously it turned out to be the latter, but what's even funnier is they seem to have thought that we would all get it, but weeks later they were still finding that people were convinced it was fake. I genuinely didn't believe it wasn't staged until I saw the People article three days later. XD

I think what helps sometimes is that the cast (and crew) know each other so well, they do sometimes cater to the individual on the chair in order to score a point - sometimes that means the bit is funny for the viewer, and sometimes the bit itself doesn't kill but the viewer still laughs because the person spitting has a great reaction 🤷♀

Smosh is actually doing laugh and go as a live event in a couple days called Smosh The Live Sitcom where every character has two cast members playing them and if someone laughs they get swapped out with their double. It has a script but it's meant to go off the rails from the script especially with elements being thrown in that they won't know about until the show starts and Tommy playing a character that has no dialogue and can show up in any scene he wants to. I don't know if you can react to the live show since it's a ticketed live event similar to the Anthony Funeral Roast but they did a live Smosh Pit Theater with the laugh and go concept to promote the live sitcom.

15:30 Imma be honest with a grain of salt: there are definitely some meh moments in their tntl challenges, more frequently than not, and personally as a watcher... I just mindlessly watch while multitasking as of late, then lmao when big funnee scene happens rly. Lol. When breaking it down, I think you will definitely see some bits that just don't land or impress as much as others. Idk if it's by design, but as a long time watcher.... I think alot of us have come to accept not every routine is going to be strong, ultimately. I think it comes from when they were first doing these bits, and some of the actors simply had no improv experience to build off of, so they and the audience likely let it slide in that sense, knowing they are just trying some stuff and seeing what sticks. I think I'm just trying to say, moments like that are moreso an artifact of that era that older audience has largely ignored in their heads whenever it comes up, if that makes sense. I think it's healthy to give the critique tho, just forewarning there are definitely many experimental or just meh moments that happen in these clips, and a couple actors, both within this video and as of yet unseen, that do tend toward still experimenting with what will or won't get a laugh. Also God I hope I worded that correctly enough to be respectful and welcoming to the content you're doing and they're doing hehe.

I do enjoy that they keep some of the “duds” in their videos. Good on the editor to keep decent pacing through the episode.

You should react to Try not to laugh musical version (part 1 and part 2 cause they're both amazing)! Not just improv, but musical improv. And both videos have some pair bits, which is even more impressive🙃
