I just got one of these a couple of days ago as well. Wonderful product! Thanks for the pulling instead of cutting tip, I'll have to try that. BTW, the numbers are not for seconds but for heat level. If the bags are sticking to the sealer elements then you have it too hot. If they aren't sealing, then you have it too low. I guess it depends on the thickness of the bags. The bag should be held in the sealer for 1 to 3 seconds.

I would absolutely work for larger bubble wrap, but I think you will have to set it for hotter (to melt through the heavier plastic) you might be replacing the heat elements more often. Thank you! However, the numbers on the dial indicate the thickness of the plastic you're sealing. So, 1 mil plastic, 2 mil plastic, etc. If you're using 4 mil, you'd set the dial to 4 mil.

We use shrink wrap for some items as well. It also comes in different thicknesses. And it's fun to see it shrink. You do need a heat gun, a hair dryer won't work on shrink wrap.

You should of bought the very small one called smart sealer from hsn. You won't have to buy bags , you just reseal the bag. Like chip bags, food that comes in bags or zip lock bags.

This sealer can seal different sizes of bags and should be able to seal professional looking printed bags as long as the width of the bag does not exceed the capabilities of the machine. Hi there! You have to have a suffocation label on any bag that has an opening bigger than 2 or three inches. It is stated in Amazon's shipping requirements if you google it. I ALWAYS get the poly bags with the SUFFOCATION LABEL PRINTED ON THEM! When it comes to the impulse sealed bags I just ALWAYS PUT A SUFFOCATION LABEL ON! I'd rather be "safe than sorry!" I usually use my roll of 16 inch shrink wrap and have no problems not having a cutter. One trick is to pull off the excess side (not the bag side) to leave a very nice, clean edge. There is an important difference in sealers to consider. Most units you buy have a flat heating element/wire, which is meant only to seal and cut the bag with something else. If you want to pull the bag off you will need a ROUND heating element to do it properly, which you can buy separately and retrofit.

hello If you could answer question I'd appreciate it g, so I work in a ice cream shop and we use 2 of these but currently iv noticed the bags would open up becomes of the cold temperature in the freezers, the stick of the ice cream would open the bag or just over some time it would also open again becouse of the temperature but my boss wants one that would seal it like the seal of chip or coffee bags ( how it has multiple lines instead of the one this machine produces) I am currently looking for one that has a foot petal or automatic but ether would be fine if you had any recommendations I'd appreciate it pimp

Hey there. I'm sorry to hear about the seam coming unsealed in the cold but it could be the thickness of the bags as well. If it is a thicker bag (like the vacuum seal bags) then I'm sure the "weld" would be stronger. Hey there. I'm not sure of your question. You can put things in zip-lock bags if you want when sending them to Amazon. This sealer will "weld" most plastic bags together but bags sent to Amazon must be clear and a certain thickness. I need a tool that is going to make a kind of seal/separator line down the center of a piece of plastic, kinda separating it into 2 sides. Would this work? +Jsunsetsky87 I tried and this machine works with it. It will depend of the thickness of the plastic. Try first with a leftover piece, and start to seal from the minimum. Seal and dont tear up while is closed. That is the trick.

When you sealed the small parts in the bag, you torn off the wrong side which created a small weak sealing area. Next time dear off the opposite side. When you sealed the bag of water you tore off the right side of the bag which in turn left a good wide seal for the water
