I think the salmon thing is a result of all the fish in the world congregating inside the world border.

It's mostly because of how many people are in the area. Notice the fish spawns get crazy when a few of them are standing together. That's because fish will spawn in rivers in groups of 3-7 per person within 3 chunks of the river up to whatever the entity cap is (not the mob cap, and is 24 by default). So when you have 5+ people standing around a river for 10 minutes you have dozens of checks to spawn fish. Over time it will just hit the spawn check until there are 24.

exactly! I find the edited down videos kinda get oevr too quickly and i feel like they miss lot's of the action and only chooses the best parts like a highlight video almost. While the long ones by themselves might feel too long to watch all in one go but splitting it up just feels right in a way

I think Etho figured this out years ago but if you break up the episode into about 24-27 minutes each and space it over a few days it makes it easier to watch the episodes(to find the time) and also fills in the gaps between the play sessions. It is a perfect formula and will boost your views.

I feel like that swamp diamond thing needs a shout-out. It was developed by Matthew Bolan, somebody who's been long involved with Minecraft speedrunning and who recently has been doing a lot of deep dives into the code trying to find relationships between visible world generation and stuff that's important to speedrunning, such as the location of strongholds. His most successful speedrunning strategy so far relates to fossils in the 0,0 chunk of the nether, and it was actually used in the current (still unverified) 1.16 WR by Brentilda as well as some other fast runs. Then he also found this diamond thing on the side. He's quite a guy. He's either Matthew Bolan or Admiral Stapler on various platforms if anybody wants to look him up.

It is last man(woman) standing I am surprised scar decided to play chaotic evil this time around... He probably would of gotten much further playing the good guy, but everybody will typically want to play nice early game, then slowly turn on each other... Though with the rules of this series, the BEST approach would be to work together... When someone goes red, the green team takes them out before they can do any damage. However they won't do that because too many fans want to see carnage... I can seriously see them sitting back after such saying "Are you not entertained!?!?!?"

I like the spilt into two episodes a day or a couple of days apart. Feels easier to consume two 30min episodes over one big 1hr episode.

The clay thing seems to work best if the entire patch is within the same chunk. If you end up counting to the edge of a chunk, "warp" to the opposite side of the chunk you started in, Asteroids style, and keep counting until you hit 7. Also, if you end exactly at a chunk border, there's a chance the generation will warp back to the next block in the chunk on the opposite side, so you may have to dig twice. The generation of the ore veins grows toward negative Z.
