hey my tip for red hair is to buy a hair mask and a red dye you like and mix it together in a container so when you do need to re-dye it helps your hair while also depositing colors.

Absolutely LOVE 😍 Licensed stylist here also and was so glad you used a semi because they are non-oxidative and ammonia-free. Cheers to no damage! When you're sick of the red and if you decide to go back natural use a demi (sorry but throw the box color you also bought in the 🗑) because it'll be so much easier to switch up hair colors/go lighter again in the future if you decide to. 💗 Box color is a "one size fits all" and we all have different heads that require different formulas and it will cause more damage than necessary for your hair.

I was nervous but it came out so good!! And the fact that it gave an ombre effect and the top was a little darker worked so well and tamed the red down a bit. I think a chocolate brown next would look nice and those red tones should shine through giving a nice, rich brown.

Just an FYI. If you dye your hair and don’t like it, you can use something like color oops to remove it. Use deep conditioners after or Olaplex to help your hair recover after a few days try a different color. Just know you aren’t stuck if you do not like how it came out. Also always wear gloves and prep your skin so it won’t get stained. I always keep baby wipes in case I get dye on my skin I can just wipe it off right away.

Red undertone is hard to get out but the red color it self fades very quickly, I’ve had my hair red a lot and I always have to use a color deposit conditioner or mask to keep the red vibrant
