I like to think that Russ will play well enough to warrant another year, and having J Fields at his heels the whole season will help keep him on his toes

Fields needs alot of work period if he was that good he'd still be in Chicago and not shipped off for a 6th round draft pick .. yes he shows flashes of something special but flashes don't win championships it gives occasional high light reels . His accuracy compared to Wilson's is garbage .. he needs to sit behind russell and shut up and learn .. if you were a bona-fide starter you wouldn't be in the burgh ...

I love it, and it will make both QBs better. Iron sharpens iron! Having said that, let me explain something to everyone: Fields may not have the mindset of sitting behind Russ, but he doesn’t have the skills needed to beat out Russ either! Russ is way too skilled, way too talented, and way too motivated to leave anything in the coaches’ hands. He will make the decision FOR them. There isn’t a QB in the league who could beat out Russ under these circumstances. His legacy is on the line after he just lived that horror of being in Denver. Russ has a legendary work ethic. Fields is a fantastic athlete, but he’s not ready for the smoke Russ will bring. He has a slight advantage in athleticism. Remember, Russ rushed for 350 yards of his own last season on mostly non-designed runs while playing for a coach who was trying to tank. Russ hasn’t lost nearly as much as people may think. That slight athletic advantage Fields holds isn’t nearly enough to compensate for the huge advantages Russ holds in arm talent (i.e., angles, accuracy, touch, deep-ball proficiency), durability, leadership, experience, and drive, and he has succeeded in a similar offense before. Russ proved for years that he can thrive on a system like Arthur Smith’s. Fields hasn’t proven anything besides the fact that he can run and hit the occasional wide-open shot. It’s not enough. Russ is almost always at his BEST when any QB poses a threat. That’s why he has always played his best games against the best QBs, even last year in Denver. It’s his mental makeup. Fields can have all the ideas he wants, but he only wanted to go to Pittsburgh when he thought his competition would be Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph. The trade to Pittsburgh only became attractive to the Bears’ front office after Russ signed there. Think about that for one minute! What fool thinks the Bears sent Fields to Pittsburgh to “do right by him?” They sent him there to sit the bench! The Bears front office KNEW he’d never beat out Russ! They couldn’t risk him on the field opening the season playing well on a fluke while Caleb struggles.

He would not be in Chicago dude. Ryan Poles already had his sight on Caleb, he literally alluded to that. Fields had no chance because poles never drafted him. No matter how good he could be or play. Poles said he wanted his guy, fields was just thrust into a bad situation. He'll be ok

Obviously you were not paying attention to the NFL ,and the Chicago bears. Justin is a great quarterback and will be much better in Pittsburgh than he was in Chicago. Justin now has a head coach and an OC who believe in what he does. Fields never had that in Chicago for starters. Both these guys have there own strengths. And they will coexist and play very well. Tomlin will make sure of it. There's only 1 Mike Tomlin in the NFL. And he's the head coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Justin and Russ are gonna surprise all of you.

I dont mind the Steelers being run oriented, but we need to make sure we're not going into this season being one dimensional on offense, i think the earlier they get the play action game down in training camp the more success youll have at the end of the season .You can run the ball play great defense, but to hoist that trophy, you're still gonna have to put up 30 points. If you look at all the teams that should contend for the playoffs most can get 30 like its nothing

Fields only wanted to go to Pittsburgh when he thought his competition would be Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph? Is that what you think? Your "Long-Negative-Narrative" about what brought Justin to Pittsburgh is a joke. Unless you were in Ryan Poles, the Chicago Bears General Manager's Office when the DEAL went down, YOU KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Russell Wilson will have a good year and so will Justin Fields. Justin just needs to be patient, stay humble, work hard, stay focused, learn the Play-Book and keep growing. Justin is young and very talented. His time is coming!
