As always, cheering on the #31 Whelen Action Express Racing Cadillac. Action Express did win the first endurance race at Indianapolis, ten years ago, when it was the year of the merger between Grand Am and the American Le Mans Series to create the version of IMSA we know and love today.

Glad to see more events being added to the Michelin Endurance Cup. Hopefully Laguna Seca will be next. Perhaps an 8-hour event, which IMSA does not yet have.

endurance races probably have the best event names in motorsport. qatar 1812, petit lemans, battle of the bricks, lone star le mans etc they sound so much better than the sponsor names in another category. But I was expecting the 963 to get a heavy hit with bop

It wasn’t exactly the fastest car at Road America, and only won because of the constant safety cars. But they’re still really fast.

What are the current Michelin Endurance Cup standings? You didn't include those in your overview.

I don’t usually cover the Michelin Pilot Challenge as there is too much content to cover from the main WeatherTech Championship while focusing on the other content I provide. Hopefully one day I can cover it more often! The #46 TGM Aston Martin is currently leading the championship in GS though with the #17 JDC Miller Audi leading TCR.

@@FormulaJonahSorry, I wasn't referring to the Michelin Pilot Challenge series, but the Michelin Endurance Cup for the endurance rounds of the WeatherTech Championship series. Since that is part of the 4 different divisions within the WeatherTech Championship, I didn't know if you would cover it.

Oh my mistake, apologies. For my IMSA previews I usually focus on just the main standings, otherwise the video’s standings section would be very long. I have thought about implementing a mention at least of the MEC standings in future previews though, which would include the Lamborghini SC63 more since it’s a MEC entry only, so that’s likely something I will add later on since it is a important feature of the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship!

The current road course layout is a 10th of a mile shorter than the outer speedway. I remember when the road course used to host the US F1 Grand Prix. It had a U-shaped section leading on to the back straight that kept it the same length as the main circuit. They had a silly little double hairpin right/left chicane shortly after the back straight as well. I'm glad they got rid of that.
