This was by far the best Rolex 24 iv attended out of the 11 years in a row that iv gone!

I feel that everyone is forgetting the fact that there were only 7 minutes left in the race. Taylor was doing the only thing anyone should do in the last laps of a race. He didn't punt the 5, he went for a gap. He had his entire RF tire in the gap and had the position. Every race car driver in the world would've gone for it. Also all bets were off for me when the 31 blocked him on the restart prior, at that point it kinda felt like a little bit of karma for Action Express Racing team.

Poor Albuquerque. I think he deserved to cross the line first, to be honest.

booooooooooooooooo its called Driver error 5 missed t1 watch the 5 take turn 1 on every other lap of the race. He like everyone else never leaves the White inside line until the exit of the corner. Its fucking racing. He blew it slid up the track and had to brake late when he should have been letting the car roll the center of the corner. In what world does the driver who makes the only big mistake at the end of an endurance race deserve to win. Albuquerque choked end of story. Yeah it was the smallest of chokes but thats what racing is all about. clearly there was room ricky got way inside before the 5 slammed the door. Besides ricky just found himself on the inside because the 5 took such a bad and slow corner. watch the 5 hes off and on the brakes 3 times before he even gets close to the apex of the corner. I don't know what was going on but he was having all sorts of braking problems in that corner. I don't know if he just missed it or what but its clearly all driver error on the 5 that caused that. Probably the worse t1 the 5 car had all race besides in the wet weather. If you people think that Albuquerque is pisssed off at anyone but himself after that i don't think you know racers very well. At this level you have to be perfect all the time Albuquerque knows this. He also knows he wasn't perfect.

I understand your point, but I don't agree with it. I don't think there was a realistic gap there for Taylor to get past. Of course, there was a gap, but that gap was sure to close as Albuquergue could not see him. I say that if you can't get completely alongside by the corner, you should back out.
@psbunn7 жыл бұрын
Albuquergue needs to check his mirrors, he would have seen him. Leave a gap like that then use your mirrors and dont turn in on someone
@deafeningoctopus7 жыл бұрын
I agree that Albuquerque could have avoided it, but I think that Taylor was mostly to blame.

Want to see the moments when the Porsche 911 RSR overtakes the Corvette and the Ferrari (GTLM) at around 44 mins to 30 mins left prior to the finish. Congrats to Ford Anyway. Great for Porsche behind from 4th to end in the 2nd Place. Was a Great Race.

wtf are you all taking about , it was a racing incident he over shoot the braking point and he left the door open any racing driver would have gone for the pass. he noticed ricky and closed the door it was his mistake.
@alpeena7 жыл бұрын
if only for a second he did leave the door open........it was an iffy move.....but a clean move

It was an accident Ricky probably had no intention of ever going inside on that corner. when the 5 blew it slid up and had to brake late when he should have just been letting the car roll throught the corner. Ricky was just taking a normal T1 and ended up on the inside. You can see ricky try to brake just as the 5 turns down into him, Ricky knew what was coming tried to back out but it was too late

as an avid Formula 1 fan #5 left the door wide open for #10. Senna said it best “Being a racing driver means you are racing with other people and if you no longer go for a gap that exists you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing.”
@regibson233 жыл бұрын
The gap didn't exist if you end up punting someone.

Filipe Miguel Delgadinho Albuquerque you were robbed. Ricky tainted his victory by just taking off. He should have slowed down on the back strait till you were even, glance over and the two of you have at it for the last couple of laps. As it is, if the two of you ever are in the same race again, you have every right to use the chrome horn.

lololololol sim racing....Yo you playing "Iracing"??? Welcome to america my friend. the 5 completely blew t1 the prototypes never come off of the white inside line until after the inside tire barrier or the apex (the same spot) 5 slid up way early missed his braking point and caused the 10 to end inside of him. All the 10 did was stay on the white line like normal and roll the center. The 5 made 3 mistakes in that corner before he even got the the apex. Total driver error 100% i guarantee ALbuquerque is pissed at himself and nobody else. If hes not he doesn't deserve to drive the final leg of an endurance race anymore. How do you think his teammates fell. They took t1 good all race 24 hours of hugging the inside white line through T1 and then albuquerque blows it and blows it really really bad. This is pro racing no mistakes ever or thats what happens. What are you people talking about. All the 5 had to do was stay within a car width of the inside line and it would be a penatly all day. Where the fuck was he going way up the track like that. Huge error HUGE error....I guarantee ALBUQUERQUE is royally pissed at himself and i guarantee he apologized to everyone of his teammates for making a HUGE driving error........................Again to all you pussies out there(excluding the aussies) ive watched enough v8 super car to know you guys like a little contact or alot sometimes. point is go back to Europe is you don't want any minor contact whatsoever. This is how we race in america. The 5 did a 360 never even came to a stop and kept going without any visible damage whatsoever. Thats called minor contact. The 5 had no clue in that corner. Once he slid up he has to know the hole is filled theres 4 laps left in a 24 hour race. Again this in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. We would be angry at Ricky if he didn't fill that giant hole the 5 gave him. Not the other way around. That was probably the only mistake the 5 was going to make. of fucking course ricky filled the hole. God bless America. I now love racing from all over the world. If i didn't have american agressive style racing i never would have got hooked. Have you fools watched INDY over the last 2 years. Half the field would be penalized if that type of accident was a penaty . Open wheel doing extreme speeds and contact all over the place. You people literally want there to be rules that prevent passing. Rules are there to protect the driver and the fans. Nothing ricky did there could even be considered dangerous it was at slow speeds and it was minor contact. At the very worse it was 50/50 i blame albuquerque way more personally but there was nothing whatsoever dangerous or rough about it. ITS AMERICA BITCHES THATS HOW IT WORKS the car infront makes a mistake then its basically His fault. Albuquerque made the first bobble when a race car driver sees the car infront wobble and slow he goes for it. Its always the guy who wobbles firsts fault. There is no place in pro racing for mistakes.

But really though you on IRACING "sim racing Indian"???
@mookwilson44817 жыл бұрын
cool i was going to give up IRACING for one of those for awhile but im sticking with Iracing for now
@mookwilson44817 жыл бұрын
sure i get it...I started Iracing way back in like 2009. So i gradually bought in over time. I work seasonal off for 5 or 6 months every winter. Gives me lots of time to play. I suck now only do a few races a week. Used to play for hours a day. I bought into Iracing when the content was small and bought the new content when it came out. I couldn't imagine trying to buy into IRACING now with all the content. Doesn't hurt as much when you buy tracks and cars over an 8 years period....but the key is I haven't bought any other computer game or sim game since 2009 so thats how i justify the money.
@Painful3rection927 жыл бұрын
Yeah maybe he should have just sat there for a while and give up his rightfully earned position after Albequerque made the stupid mistake of closing the door on somebody who is already inside. Ricky deserved the win.
