I like the mix of subjects, and I enjoy the optics too.

Interesting that they chose to use NPNs as a high side switch for the LEDs.

The sockets are so you can rob components from it, to finish building another Chinese Kit with missing components .. LOL ! I Enjoy your videos looking forward to the next.

Yay, Yellow tray, that means kit build and stories. I've never heard of VT, valves, or vacuum tubes are always labled V on a schematic. BTW, you went very "Bob Ross" with those transistors. LOL.

Well, believe it or not, VT is standardized transistor label in Czech republic, among with diodes "V". Vacuum tubes are labelled "E"

What type. I've used diodes inside the feedback of opamps for zero volts before. did you mean the ones with FETs?

@@IMSAIGuy for analog synth applications? I guess I am mainly looking for a walkthrough of designing one for use in the analog synthesizer environment. there are a number of examples of how to build one but they don't really explain things very well. feel free to disregard this if it's not your bag. I don't really know about the ones with fets but I am curious.

@@nickcaruso I did a repair of a MOOG synth in the 1970's.I've always liked the design. I've liked optics because you get to see what you did, audio you get to hear what you did

I always figured it was because they thought home builders would fry the parts by leaving the soldering iron on the joint for too long.
