That's what I was wrong I had not done the single sweep.i had mine set at 146.520 span of 30 khz but I did not set for single sweep

Your 8591 seems to have the crt image shifted to the top and lot more to the right...you can centre the image from the menu

yes, every time I adjust the horizontal center and the NTSC mode, the 8591 forgets on the next power up. Any way to store this? I've done a cal store but it does not remember these things.

Yes there is a way to store I have to check the manual though...I had the same issue once with it always going to 75ohm and dBuV default also as mine has the TV option boards also...have to check the manual can't remember everything 🤣 though I have learnt alot of tricks from you about it I will have a look in my manual later 73 9H1LO

I also bought the tinysa but I don't think that has single sweep I am at work and can't remember

the tinysa does not have a good resolution bandwidth. It is only 3khz not 300hz so you will not see any detail

@@IMSAIGuy I have the same issue with the spectrum analyzer 8 bought lowest I. Can go is 1khz and the tiny does 3khz.i bought the hp agilent E4411A
