I mean back then I was only focused on camo grinds but I would still have lots of fun doing it. But now it's different, maybe because it's more challenging because now you're not the only sweaty person who plays, but your whole lobby is. We lost the meaning of what a fun lobby meant. Talking trash (but no one took it personally back then), freaking out when someone hit a trickshot (even if it was the other team), and just having fun goofing around with friends in pre and in the lobby. But now everyone takes every lobby personally like money on the line in an E league competition.

If im honest, replaying the old cods made me realize the good parts about them were not only the simplicity (especially on attachments theres no need for 15 similar foregrips that do the exact same thing) but the sounds from every small accomplishment, nothing feels more satisfying than the game lagging behind everything you just did "buzz kill" "double kill" "uav ready for deployment" "triple kill" "payback" "rank up sfx" "head shot" every single one often something different plus the blood splatter/ headshot money explosion. The smooth reloads and sound of the weapons (even if they sound dry as hell) Its so over the top is the exact same reason why i love it, the "realism" and added movement i prefer leaving it for battlefield sincr they get more use for it

But that was only like 5% of lobbies back then, compared to like 80% today. Most people back then just genuinely wanted to have fun, and most were either bad players but were having fun, sub par, or barely above average, or above average players. Every now and then you would get that one guy that would sweat in a lobby but now it's the whole team that is sweaty. I would only play with sweat players like every 10 or 15 games or so back then compared to now. That's the difference between now and then. No one isn't to play it for fun, rather they treat every game like an E league competition and money is on the line. Even the worst player in the lobby back then could at least get 10 kills, but now the worst player would be thankful if he had 5 in a game, which discouraged that person from stop playing.

Its talking about sounds and the insane saturation/camo weapons which make the game look way more irrealistic. They both have the same clip but the difference is that one looks like a toy and the other is looking real. You are grinding in the modern days that having fun witht he realistic colours and matches like back in the days. I most of the time dont even equip camos unless the camo is like a more military colour.

Both very insane clips but OG MW2 will forever be the GOAT. COD4, World at War, MW2, Black Ops 1, MW3, and Black OPs 2 were the best CODs. Ghosts was decent, Advanced & Infinite Warfare sucked. COD World War 2 and even Black Ops 4 were really good especially the Black Out mode it started to look like a turning point in COD history. But all the others sucked due to skill based matchmaking. Skill based mathmaking killed COD, I used to play COD to have fun, not to sweat my nuts off juat to have a positive Kill Death Ratio. They need go make the algorithm like the old CODs and take a Skill Based Matchmaking out completely. 💯🔫👿 The old days are dead and gone but never forgotten.
