The boats description was round, not a saucer mind, but round, metal bottom with a rosewood top, windows (portholes?) and a hatch with supplies inside. This very much sounds like a modern life boat as used in harsh climates, closed to keep rough seas and cold weather out, except for being rosewood. I do think the girl may have been Russian and the writing inside not writing at all but decoration much like the symbols found on native American tee pee's, each symbol having a meaning but are not to be read as a book. A life boat from a rich Russians yacht perhaps.

Sorry this has already been explained and it’s well documented. The long and short of it is, the object and women depicted in the pictures came from an island near japan whose tradition for the daughters of the leader of the island were put into water vessels and sent adrift to find their future husband. Yes it looks like a UFO and yes the language she spoke was not understood since it was not Japanese and yes the symbols were not legible because they were also not Japanese and as stated in the video, at the time Japan was closed to foreigners and foreign things in general, so small surprise they were odd looking to the people at the time. This is solved.
