3:07 The dessert you're asking at3:07 is called"Qing Tuan", which is a traditional snack, specifically in the southern area, only being available on the mark for a short amount of time. They are made of glutinous rice flour and bean-paste fillings.. always be one of my favourites!

3:01 we call that 青团 (Qingtuan). It is a traditional food for the tomb-sweeping ritual in April but is literally available throughout all year. Those packed ones don't taste well cuz they are made for long time storage. Local people usually buy them from vendors.

at 3:00, the green snack is called "qing tuan". its a traditional Chinese snack (popular in east and south china). its made from sticky rice and Artemisias juice (thats why it looks dark green) and the fillings are normally red bean paste. We usually eat this in spring because there is a festival in spring called “Qingming”, this snack is created to celebrate the festival. Just like moon cake for mid-autumn festival.

The green one is 青团 (the pronunciation is similar to “Chean time” in Chinese). It is a sweet green rice ball with various other food material inside. It is actually famous in Shanghai and only Shanghai. But not all green ball is good, especially in the supermarket.

It's *sweet green rice ball* or *青团*. They are made of a mixture of glutinous rice flour and green plant juice, and stuffed with sweetened bean paste. People usually eat 青团 during the Qingming (清明) holiday. You can refer to this english.cctv.com/2017/04/04/VIDEQViPCheSxOovycT0bUg5170404.shtml for further info.

Qīngtuán (青团) is a form of dumpling that is green, common throughout Chinese cuisine. It is made of glutinous rice mixed with Chinese mugwort or barley grass. This is then usually filled with sweet red or black bean paste. The exact technique for making qingtuan is quite complicated and the grass involved is only edible in the early spring, so it is typically only available around the time of the Qingming Festival (April 4 or 5), with which the dumpling has become associated. Much of the qingtuan consumed in China is prepared and consumed as street food from local vendors--Wikipedia

Certainly the price in Shanghai is too expensive, I'm living in Melbourne Australia, that price is identical to the price here, one of the most expensive city in the world (sells Coca-Cola for 20 yuan per bottle and average 60-120 yuan per person for a lunch).

It is an interesting introduction though. But all imported products to another country are generally higher in prices (add transportation charges, storage costs, etc.). So it is like saying fruits like pineapples, bananas, coconuts, durians, will definitely be more expensive in your home country than those available in Asian producing countries. Hence, maybe you compare the local vegetables and fruits prices with your country would be more interesting. Cheers

It's nothing ridiculous. I am living in Australia now and I was also shocked by Australian dairy products..,they add milk into every kind of food, but dairy products in Australia are really cheaper and better than in China.. I've learned how to cook my breakfast with cheese, butter, yogurt...hahaha...actually,excluding cheese, many Australian big supermarkets are same as Chinese big supermarkets. Especially for young people, many of us don't like to eat dry food . we like chocolate , hydrocarbons, sweet ,fat things.we do know it's unhealthy , but it's tasty. I love Woolworths and Coles

It gave me headaches to buy stuff In market if I don’t have a clear idea what exactly I am going to buy. the kind quantities are just ridiculous huge. No wonder you saw advertisement that aim to stand out from unknown stuffs. As for your heaters, lol. Good for them. There is always a group of people in the world acting sensitive and panic about others comments. You just got little bit bigger in china because of its populations.
