It's heartbreaking to see a family torn apart by betrayal like this. Poor Jake, fighting for his life while his mother was busy with someone else. How do you even begin to heal from something like this?

Never ever take a cheater back. Cheating is never a mistake but a choice. Complete trust can never be restored. Lie detector test prove nothing and are a waste of time. If he takes her back then he is a weak man.

Statistics show that something like 90% of cheaters that are caught cheating that is forgiven and given a second chance to save their marriage end up cheating again once the fear, shame, and shock wear off and things return to normal...because the need to cheat for the cheater doesn't go away...to cheat you have to stop loving and respecting your spouse in order to enjoy the cheating without feeling guilt or shame.....twisted and sick.

I read that the main reason cheaters that were caught cheat again is. Forgive a cheater and you only let them know that you will forgive them when they get caught again.

This is true eventually they will do it again. Once they cheat they will wonder and think about their infidelity and start again but they will be more careful hiding their crap. What this woman said it's her first time sounds shady. She met the guy supposedly got seduced and just slept with him just like that.

At no point in time she came to the understanding that what she was doing was wrong even when explicitly told at her birthday, she ignored it. Then when her son was nearly killed she realizes? No. This is not a mistake or someone who you take back and no "being nice" or belated understanding or polygraphs ought to really factor in that. She should bare the consequences not as a punishment but as a result of actions she undertook.

Women who quit work to be a stay at home mom are some of the worst to file for divorce because they get bored and become unhappy, I know because that's what my ex did. And a man whose wife disrespects her husband like she did if he takes her back the little respect she still hadfor him would totally be lost, and she will cheat again with what she considers an alpha to her beta husband.

What BS. If the tiles had been reversed, she would have already divorced him, but expects him to forgive her and not divorce her? Typical female double standard. In a different story, the husband implied that he had had an affair, and got the disloyal wife to outline what she would do. Once she had described the scorched earth things she would do, he turned the tables on her and treated her with the punishments and consequences she defined.

If you hadn't gotten caught, would you do it again? NO. I have to call bullsh*t. For one thing, polygraphs are not good on coulda, woulda, shoulda hypotheticals. But we all know that it's true - there's no way that "Donnie" would not have tapped that again, especially after all of the build up to the afternoon in the hotel, and she would've folded like a cheap suit. I don't care that she said that the sex was better with her hubs, what she craved was attention from new men.

This is an example of why marrying a women who has never been intimate with anyone but you may not be a wise decision. Women tend to have a level of natural curiosity that can make them wonder what being with another man would be like and pairing that with approaching the dreaded 40 can be a dangerous mix. Not all women succumb to the temptation but unfortunately some do.

Eh. Having a son nearly become roadkill might add incentive, particularly given this long-seduction style story. "My God, the one time I cheated, God punished me by nearly killing my son! What will happen next time? My baby? And Her baby?" Thoughts like that would be bound to occur.

I think it was an interesting story. But I question about the husband being able to recover his confidence. Can time and therapy really heal that wound? I find that hard to believe. The only way I’ve seen it happen is if another outside party said so. One not being paid to listen. I’m not saying he needed to sleep with another woman, but maybe other women complimenting him on how amazing he is or something. I will admit she did come back strong and I like how she tried to regain their trust. Overall a good story. Thanks for sharing

I've heard this story before I got to say this dude is an idiot for taking this 304 cheater back. Doormats without options always make this move. They think they cannot find someone else and forgive the cheating spouse back. She doesn't respect you anymore that's why she cheated and most likely do it again since she got away with it. Women like this lose all respect for these type of men since he forgave her. Eventually they will do it again but will learn from her mistakes and be more careful. Some people never learn they like to learn the hard way. All the pain that comes after this is all on him. The lie detector test is right from the cheating handbook they use this to fool the husband. It's not that hard to fool the test. Especially if she brought the questions she practice to pass. If he was smart he should have come up with his own questions, well he should have divorce his cheating wife would have been the smartest thing he should have done. But in my opinion she most likely cheated more than she said women never say all the truth when it comes to cheating. They only confess to what she thinks he already knows. I have no respect or sympathy for someone like this.

I would have told as her husband that is very unlikely it would work getting back together because I wouldn't be able to her what she is looking for. I could not be a young man who finds her desirable no matter what I did, only a 40+ older man that does. Also a mistake would been if she entered the hotel room thinking her husband was there and the room was dark when she climbed in bed with the man and started the sexual encounter. Then later discovered it was the wrong room and it wasnt her husband she was with.

There will be plenty of people who will condemn her for what she has done, but it is also clear that she has done everything she can to pay off her debt with fair compensation. Her husband might have had to make a little more effort to find out about her appointments sooner. The cheating probably wouldn't have happened then.
