This Bi-polar disorder is really on the rise. My cousin was recently diagnosed of that disorder and since we sought expert treatment for her which isn't a one-off treatment but a continuous one, she's doing well now by the Almighty's grace. What I find disheartening is her progress in life that has been stunted since she had her 2nd daughter (since that was when she began having serious mood swings) because we didn't know she was sick. But, I believe the Almighty will restore unto my cousin all the years she lost..

Mental illness is a serious problem faced by many around the world. Ironically October 10 is world mental health day. Being pregnant, with hormones out of control may have contributed to the episode. I went into a depression like that before but mine didn't get bad. The only thing is I lost a lot of weight and I can't gain weight back. This happened to me when I had my second child. It was a premature labor and many incidents were involved with this pregnancy. But what caused this depression was when the hospital "claimed" I used the word claimed because I have not known the truth about my daughter the hospital said died because they didn't let me hold, see or even bond with the child. It happened over forty (40) years now at one of the St. Joseph's hospital. I also learned about bipolar depression when I went back to school after my husband divorced me without a cause. Some much to this story. But I know the crazy part for me was, I would not go to that hospital for any reason. I didn't even wanted to pass by that hospital. I got over this depression after many many years past. Now I can go back to the hospital. This happened because of my relationship with God and His mercy towards me. The Holy Ghost even sent me back to the hospital to get information about my daughter because I didn't get anything from them not even a death certificate.

Chacha you label yourself Bipolar disorder instead of postpartum depression. I hope you know that Bipolar disorder is a serious manic mental health issues with a Disability. That means you’re endanger to yourself, your children, and anyone around you. You brother was attempting to protect you, but you attacked him. To my own opinion, Chacha stated that it always happens to her whenever she is Pregnant. It means Post-partum depression that has to do with hormonal changes during pregnancy and not Bipolar disorder. Everyone is different that means not all women experience that!!. Please women try to be happy during Pregnancy because it’s not easy at all, to prevent any triggers occurrence R/T Post-partum depression.

Are you a doctor? A doctor already gave her a diagnosis! Post partum depression happens after childbirth!!! Her pregnancy and hormones cld be the trigger for the episodes she’s been having. She said she always had episodes even before the pregnancy. Watch this video again and try to understand. Chacha is a smart girl and in this video I don’t see any sign of someone who is being abused.

@Chika.P&Masi.A thanks for your opinion. Chacha is a gentle soul and not a violent person. Bipolar and Partum depression is a two different things. Hormonal changes during pregnancy can triggered Partum depression even during and after pregnancy. Bipolar disorder does not happens during pregnancy, so it’s a wrong diagnosis.
