Her honest testimony, stripped of romanticization that are often found in missionary stories, truly speaks to the heart of missions. Just as it was explained so powerfully in Rev Paris Reidhead’s famous 10 Shekels and a Shirt sermon, we should be going to missions for God and His love for the sinners, the reward of His suffering. It is in obedience and to glorify Him. Not for the sake of the sinners.

Hello Elinor, if your able to answer, i would like to know if you could describe the way in which you went from doubting Christianity to being absolutely sure about it. Please.

I did not try to convince myself. I was honest with myself about my doubt, and honest with God, telling him that I wasn't sure he existed to even hear what I said. Then relaxed and waited to see if, over the next days my doubts proved to be true or if my mind and heart became convinced God truly was real. It wasn't a lightening bolt type of thing. I just quietly, firmly KNEW that He is real and was there and his word is true.
