Inspiring Footsteps

Жыл бұрын

Constructed of local ham hill stone, the grade 1 listed three storey house was built by Sir Edward Phelips in 1598 and is one of only a few prodigy houses that have survived from the Elizabethan Era.
In 1931 it was acquired by the National trust and with mum and dad joining us, we set off to Somerset to explore it.
There are so many eye opening features of this incredible house, including the 172 foot long gallery on the second floor and the wonderful grand hall.
As always, The National Trust put on fantastic things to do, such as an Easter trail to enjoy! Charlotte loved it, as we picnicked in the beautiful 4 hectares of gardens, under the warm spring sun.
