In Bagent We Trust

It's a tale as old as time: a friend tells another friend how awesome his kids are. For as long as I can remember, Travis has been proclaiming that his kid will make it to the NFL someday. Like all the other times, I respond with enthusiasm, but predicting that your child will join the National Football League when they're in the third grade is akin to saying, 'Tyson is going to the moon.' For most, it's just fantasy, especially for a quarterback.
I've been filming Travis at arm wrestling events for twenty years, covering competitions for ARMTV. I happened to be in town for one of his events, which happened to coincide with one of Tyson's games. To be honest, Travis and I haven't stayed in touch much over the last few years due to life's demands, and I hadn't realized he was closer to fulfilling his proclamation than I had ever given him credit for. Travis said it, and then Tyson actually followed through with years of hard work to become THAT GOOD.
I filmed the game and captured Travis' thoughts, thinking I would save the footage in case his prediction ever came true.
Well, here it is. I hope that isn't spoiling anything. 😄
It's been almost two years, and going back to this moment, you can feel the love that the people of Shepherd University have for Tyson. It's contagious, and I believe that all of his new fans will feel the exact same as they get to know him.

You know so many things of value here if you have the mental fortitude, belief, and ability to tune out all that white noise of Cants and Nevers. You Can Do and Be ANYTHING you put your mind to!! Second, as a Father, if you teach your children those same values every day, not only teach it but show them as Travis has done with his children, then you are setting your children up for success that is worth more than any dollar amount you could give them! Travis is a legend in his own right, but probably more importantly, you can see he is an amazing parent! He has given his children the tools to be their own legend! It's such a great story. Who doesn't Love a good underdog story! In the first couple of months of Tyson being picked up by the Chicago Bears, he has gone from QB3-QB4 Status to now starting! Love or Hate Tom Brady, Tyson, and Brady sound like they have very similar stories coming into the NFL. I'm beyond excited to see how his story keeps unfolding, and you make all of us proud!!! The fact dad believed from the start and where he's Tyson is at now. An NFL QB, unbelievable. Great support cast. Love the confidence. As a Bear fan I hope we give him every opportunity to be the guy and we hold him till he can run away with the job. A sport where most fans think you need a flashy top 5 QB. I don't believe in that. Tyson's got everything it takes to be the guy and the city of Chicago will start believing. His work ethic and will to win will gain a lot of fans here. I just hope again we keep him next year

What a great video. I've been a fan of Travis Bagent, and arm wrestling for year's. As a fan of Travis, i always wanted him to get back into arm wrestling, and show these guy's over @ East vs West, and King of the table, the #1 Left handed guy in the world. But as a Father, i Feel the ❤️ that Travis has given, to ALL of his family, to help them ALL get ready for their Lifes journey, into adult hood. Thank you for putting aside your career of Arm wrestling, for your own children, much ❤ and respect. They should start Tyson now. The last kid I felt was more qualified than anyone coming out of college was Tom Brady. I feel that same way about Tyson. If the Bears don't realize what they have in Tyson, trust me. The rest of the NFL is just waiting for Chicago to make the mistake of letting him go. Tyson is ready. I'd take a D2 kid that has had the opportunity to throw a million balls over a highly recruited D1 guy that hasn't thrown a 1/3 of the passes. QB capabilities translate at all levels. I love he is a bear. I hope they realize how lucky they are to have taken a chance on him.

Tyson and his pops are going to win the love of us Chicago Bears tough-nosed blue collar fanbase. We’re all getting sick and tired on that uppity prima donna QB who blames all his problems on everyone but himself. The kid should be No. 2 but Bears management is scared they are going to upset their thin skinned mentally weak ‘franchise star’. Hold tight kid, things are lining up for ya to get your shot, just keep grinding! For Tyson, he is already NFL caliber in the read progressions, the footwork, throwing mechanics, and he can handle the podium like leader. Keep working, God is giving the kid some time and space to prepare for the big city lights, and he’s taking advantage of his opportunity.

I honestly see a kid who has that same type of moxie, ability, mental toughness like Kurt Warner, and Brock Purdy… Guys that came out of nowhere, Kurt Warner came from being a grocery bagger, Amsterdam admirals, Brock Purdy Mr. relevant? They're going to let the vet come in to get first crack, I feel like the Bears want him to fly under the radar until next season while they figure out what they're doing with Fields and their 2 first round picks. They need to give this kid a shot though and see what he can do in a real game. Loved the way he looked/moved in preseason. I just hope the bears don't mess this up and he goes to another team to become a legit threat QB in the NFL.
