Check out the bull hook in the mahouts pocket and their hands. That means if the elephant doesn’t comply, he is stabbed. They are also chained. Check out “crushing” to see how elephants are trained.

just curious, even though this is supposed to pe a paradise for the elephants, saw that at the beginning of the video, that a few of them were still Chained up by the legs, may I ask why that was, was it to keep them from walking off or whatever??????
@Bradh19615 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew. I apologize for the long delay in replying. It seems that the elephants here don't range around freely. They appear to have the chains on them while they're out in this open communal area near the public and not attended by a human and during the time that the park is open to the public.

Andrew Silva I went there I asked that to my mum told me it was because they might run off to another elephant and steal there food and get in a fight

I have an issue with this place allowing elephant rides. It really seem counterintuitive to their alleged mission which is to promote the welfare of these magnificent creatures. I feel like the experience wouldn't be effected at all if they eliminated the elephant rides.

Giving them a productive sense of their lives for humans is the best way to protect them, an American should know that.

Riding on the back of elephants cause pain. Please don't support this place! Elephants are not native to Bali. Please read on information before visiting foreign places. Its abuse.
@carlasuryawan54095 жыл бұрын
you are wrong , elephant lodge bali is a conservation . This place is a kind of nature reserve . These elephants are PROTECTED BECAUSE THEY ARE RARE ANIMALS . THEY ARE HUNTED BY HUMANS IN THEIR HABITAT . SO ELEPHANT LODGE BALI SAVE AND PROTECTING THEM FROM EXTINCTION . THESE ELEPHANTS ARE TREATED VERY WELL . IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE , YOU CAN WATCH A VIDEO TITLED " CHRIS ATKINS AT ELEPHANT SAFARI PARK TARO , BALI " ON KZbin .

@@carlasuryawan5409 Stop making excuses you should never ride on the backs of elephants nor should you bathe with them...it stresses them out and causes back pain. So many studies point to this. They should only be observed naturally bathing.

@@carlasuryawan5409 It is unbelievable that you defend this abhorrent practice. Strapping a seat on these magnificent creatures and piling people on top of them is not promoting the proper treatment of these animals. If you want to see how a real sanctuary is run, look at the facilities in Chiang Mai, Thailand. They would never even think about allowing this to happen because it is cruel. So stop defending this indefensible practice or stop pretending to really care about the well-being of these incredibly beautiful, intelligent and gentle animals.

Hi! Great video with thoughtful and educational content. We’ll be staying in Ubud and really interested in doing this with the elephants (without the ride). May I know where you booked? We plan to just drive to the park and book on the spot.

Hi Dhafney. . As I recall it was a week or two before my trip that I went online and did a search for cool things to do in Bali and found a bunch of companies that organize tours. If you go to www.masonadventures.com/elephant-park/ you can book your visit in advance like I did. I know you'll have a wonderful time!

Ivy, I totally agree! I did see that in advance just before going in and just determined that no matter what I'd keep my mouth CLOSED and eyes SHUT if any of that water was getting sprayed or if i was getting dipped. AND take a long soapy shower afterwards, which the facility kindly had right there on hand.

The elephants must have pooped in that water

Oh, that water was FULL of elephant poop. it was floating everywhere. We were glad that the venue provided full showers and towels in a modern locker room for people coming out of the pool. We knew that going in, and while it was a big gross, that was blown away by the opportunity to be in the water with them.
