My favorite Dr. Greg Carr sayings, " Oh no question!", "Let's be very clear", and the one that makes smile every time, "In fact, I have a book..." . These classes are everything ❤

Karen Hunter Show It is very much an opinion that has information rooted in facts as well. Just like the notion of religion is an opinion as well, which is why there are over 5,000 different religions that are practiced by humans today. Because if religion was a fact there would be one true “Accepted Religion” by all rooted in fact, which there is not. Now what say ye Ms Karen Hunter?

Our Story Told Backward🤔 Let God Speak: “For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the Lord for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:68‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:68‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?” ‭‭Job‬ ‭9:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I love these conversations. Thank you Baba Carr and Sister Karen. When I think of the ocean I feel Yemaja/Ast, and when I think of the rivers and streams I feel Oshun/Het Heru. I feel Beyonce held these two Orisha/NTRU in balance in Black Is King as she called on us to face our inner demons and come back home to our true selves. In my opinion, Black is King was an amazing interpretation of The Lion King through the artistic lense of Beyonce's understanding of African Cultures and Spiritual practices. I found the artistry of it all to be outstanding. I did not fear the darkness because she started with light. I felt she would bring us back to the light. And I know that out of the darkness comes the light. More importantly, I trusted myself and my personal relationship with God to reveal the message that was meant for me in it, and to keep me focused on the ultimate purpose of all experiences, which is to stay steadfast on the journey to our best selves. I love you both, and this ongoing conversation, and will continue to lift you both in love and light. God bless.

A very special thank you to both of you for this conversation. I opened my 'Women of Color in the United States' class at Purdue with 'Brown Skin Girl' by Beyonce and 'WAP' by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. Students were required to VIEW the videos and to READ the lyrics from paper and respond to what they saw, read, and interpreted. I had sat down with my 14 year old daughter to watch BLACK IS KING together AND I sat her down to watch WAP (uncensored) together. It was URGENT for me to watch WAP with her because of my own FEARS about being woman and raising a developing young girl. I often give her the real, the raw data she needs to process the world. I did NOT view BLACK AS KING as URGENT because of fear, it was simply NECESSARY for her self development because her father is from Ivory Coast and I am from Louisiana and I practice Ifa. Long story short, BOTH videos were necessary for the reasons Dr. Carr has broken down as it relates to the Crossroads. My students find FEMALE EMPOWERMENT as the common denominator in each video. They mentioned the lower level and the higher level of what it means to be a woman. I truly appreciate this and I may get my students to listen to this show for their C.E.L.L activity. Lastly, BLAKE, OR THE HUTS OF AMERICA is phenomenal! I wanted to say more but this was too long for a KZbin comment. Love to both of you. Tell Dr. Carr 'hello' from Jolivette and Nadja (my daughter).

I saw a study where people who are left handed, at some point between conception and birth, was a twin. If only one twin survived, the surviving twin was left handed. I did an “informal” by asking everybody I came in contact with who was left handed if they were a twin. Two days after I saw the study, I met a cashier in Rite Aid who was left handed. When I asked if she was a twin, she said “ yes”, and her female twin is right handed. She paused for a moment and then said that she gave birth to male twins two years earlier. Only one twin survived, and that twin is left handed. Down through the years, I’ve asked everybody who I meet who is left handed, if they are a twin, 97% say yes, whether the twin is male or female. Those who say they’re not or don’t know, always say that twins run in their family. BTW...what really fascinated me with this whole thing was that my mother was one of 7 sisters whose first born child was a male, and all these males were left handed. Amen.

Dr Carr is one of the very few great thinkers who can go off in many different directions in what seem to be far flung tangents, never forgets where he's going and brings you back to the central point in a way that changes your whole way of seeing. Love love love this man.

I so loved the discussion today. It is true that “nothing is new under the sun” because the Africans have known it from the beginning! Thank you for the discussion on being left handed. Now I know why I often feel like “I have been here before.”

This class gave me goosebumps. The knowledge dropped today has changed my life forever. As a young adult, I've always struggled with the concept of 'eternity' within the Christian faith. Today's discussion has given me the insight that I needed to seek beyond.
