India was just driving three cars - Ambassador, Fiat & Maruti 800 and Pakistani's would say arrogantly " the type of cars we see on Indian roads will not be seen even in our junkyards". Generally Pakistani's harboured a superiority complex which Indians did not quite understand. But at least India was manufacturing its own cars and not driving imported cars. How the tables have turned. While India was slowly building skills and industries in pursuit of being self-reliant and following a non-aligned policy, Pakistan was happy being a slave nation renting its army to USA and enjoying their patronage. They were under the illusion that they could match India and its only in the last decade they have exposed themselves. The revelation has been a rude awakening for the masses and the sinking feeling that India has gone far ahead. Unlike today, when you hear them say "we are the same", back then they did not want to associate with Indians. I find it very difficult to sympathise for their situation now.

Mr Beg , why waste your time and resource on some thing like economic and business prospects for Pakistan. No need. You have leased most of your assets to Abbu Cheen from whom you get decent rentals . Then U have US to rent your airport bases and routes for US troops, drones and jets to use bomb Iran / afghan etc and you have been doing that ages to earn dollars and trade concessions from them as return favours ( GSP + trade tariff from EU for service rendered ) Then u have Ummah, the rich among them will give aid and alms as when crisis arises in Forex. U have Turkey and Malaysia to give u moral support in the name of Mazab on issues like Kashmir . You have North Korea and other rogue nations to sell ur ammunition and nuclear assets Finally , you have partners to future with Burundi , Syria , Rwanda , etc to a make a separate geopolitical block .

I think an amazing Islam following country like Pakistan will always be most ahead. The only reason Pakistan is maybe not winning overwhelmingly to India is because there is a little less Islam in Pakistan. The solution is to turn up Islam to max , even Taliban , ISIS, Boko Haram should be left behind.
