As a fellow Romanian I was very happy and moved to see other people's interest in my country and especially the case of building a national park, given our current political situation. I can only wish Nicholas best of luck and strength to keep his balance in this work and don't give up on the initiative to document our country. Thank you for this, George!

I read his interview in Don't Take Pictures magazine Fall 2017 issue and it is such a surprise to see it published here in Negative Feedback. The magazine article describes his work as distant and exploring the unbreakable link between man and nature. I think his set of photos generate great dialogue.

These videos are very nicely done however I cant help but think how only 1 out of 6 artist you have featured has been a woman. Same with almost all of the people being white. Representation is important and cant be disregarded when it comes to the arts especially if you have a platform to present artists. Not saying white men cant create absolutely amazing work but it is important to support and big up artists who are of a minority group . SO many incredible photographers who are women & also are people of colour. Cant help but direct my mind to this when I see these videos. Is a real chance to present how photography is a diverse and magical thing rather than a thing white men who use large format or a mamiya (which is not always accessible to the masses) I am sure this isn’t done with purpose but platforms should put in effort to be diverse these days :)
@ryanc12955 жыл бұрын
Milly Cope you’re . . . Joking right? You’re being given incredible content, for free, and you complain about it being white men using expensive equipment. Obviously they will be using expensive equipment, they’re professionals not kids playing around at college. Climb down of your soap box and make the content yourself if you feel there’s a gap in the market rather than complaining about what someone else has invested time and money into then presented for free.
@MrExtraordinaryCat5 жыл бұрын
@@ryanc1295 Obviously the channel decides who to film and interview. No need to be so condescending to Milly though. She just spoke her mind and gave some (negative) feedback (pardon the pun). Also, yeah sure. I bet the guys from NF do not make any money from this channel............ And don't get me wrong, I am not telling them what their content should be, they can do whatever they want. Just don't be so rude to the one person on here who is not drooling over incredible expensive gear that is apparently only accessible to ~~ real professionals ~~.
@moonwalker-ik3eh5 жыл бұрын
Ryan Cee are you really saying one shouldnt be criticising content if it is freely accessible? that is quite anti-democratic, in my humble opinion at least. also why is it „obvious“ that people who work as photographers professionally will be using expensive equipment? that is just incorrect. there are loads of photographers who get hired for jobs and use cameras that arent super expensive. after all its not about equipment its about talent. abd sadly today still, about accessibility. telling someone to not complain and just do it themselves is quite a very neoliberal idea. it is still today so much more difficult for women, PoC etc to get into the industry; they ARE trying but their effort alone doesnt seem to pay off when it is it ignorant powerful people not paying them any attention.
@celiacroft66715 жыл бұрын
@@ryanc1295to say that every professional photographer must use expensive equipment is ridiculous. Constructive criticism is important, and perhaps if more people made comments like Milly's, the creative industry would change for the better with more diversity. The world has been led by white men for so long, the creative industry has suffered from this, do you not think it is important to get out of this mindset that you can only be successful if you're privileged? and If you're not privileged then you will always be considered a 'kid playing around at college'? This channel is free to watch, and it is also free to comment constructive criticism about the VEry crucial issues surrounding elitism

you dont technically need to have a photographers job to be a "photographer". you could work a job you like while using time and money for personal work. It would suck more shooting stuff i dislike daily than working a job in a different field i could enjoy more.
