"...for the party", what about the country? I don't want another Conservative politician who is a slave to her party members., "...attacking the labour party" rather than work with in opposition, when the country needs renewal. "...protecting free speech/...over dominant government", see 'Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts bill' which effectively removes the right to protest. She speaks with confidence, but her personal record does not match her aspirations and I doubt she can attract a broad enough audience to win an election.

Patel was sacked for getting into bed with the Israelis and she violated the ministerial code by bullying and harassing her employees so that he had to be hospitalized for psychological breakdown and he sued and got a huge settlemet of 170,000 pounds and costs. The people had to pay the cash settlement not Patel. How can she help the Conservatives?

As a conversative I don't ask for much. I only want low taxes, a strong military, and low migration. The tories betrayed us on all of these things and Priti Patel played a big role in that.

Lets hope Priti Patel wins. All the others are mediocre and lack substance. She at least speaks authoritatively. We also don't need more centrist or leftist leaders. Unlike Liz Truss, when she speaks, you don't get the sense that the cogs are still wurring and she doesn't know where what she is saying ends.
