In-depth Console/Controller SOLO GOLD Glitch Guide for Cayo Perico Heist (All 4 Storage Rooms)

This is an in-depth GTA Online video tutorial that will teach you how to open the storage doors on Cayo Perico Island that have Gold or any other loot as Secondary Targets on Consoles (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S) or Controllers/Gamepad on PC. First, I will teach you in detail how to do the glitch, the requirements, settings to change and where you can practice it in Freemode. After this you can execute it anywhere with a buffered ledge grab animation available to do by your character. This is also known as the Snapmatic Phone app Camera glitch. It involves holding the ledge grab animation from a spot for long enough so that you slide or teleport back to the starting point. When used in certain spots, you can end up getting inside the storage rooms in the Cayo Perico island compound. Multiple routes/ways for all four rooms: North Storage, South Storage, West Storage and Basement Storage have been shown. I have also kept a keyboard button overlay that shows the exact keys I am pressing during gameplay. It might seem a bit tricky or hard in the beginning. With practice, you will be able to do this easily with consistency. I have tried to make this guide as easy to follow as possible with slow motion footage and Controller inputs of PS4/PS5, Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S included along with a summary of the starting and ending points for all 4 storage locations. This video has been recorded after the latest Chop Shop DLC (Online version 1.68) added in December 2023 to GTA Online and should continue to work in 2024 and beyond unless it gets patched. The Cayo Perico Heist to this day, is still a solid way to make money for solo players even with the nerfs to cooldown period and loot value along with the changes to enemy AI over the years.

Idk why i put off from doing this method at first glance it seemed too difficult or i was just refusing to take the time to get to know it but dam it is so easy. Its the only method thatll get you into the north storage and makes the basement storage way easier than the camera glitch. Still prefer camera glitch for south and west storage as i have got it down easily but for north and basement works really well. Instead of getting close to the door for the north i get close to second pillar infront of door works everytime

I wish I could do this but with the left stick forward I push the A then double tap dpad up. All he does is jump over the wall and bring the camera up. If I press left stick up at same time with jump button nothing happens. Delay it just a tiny bit then he jumps over the wall. Sorry just gets me frustrated trying

As of 2/28 this still works, I’m on Xbox series X. Sometimes it’s a bit inconsistent, maybe because after taking cover and opening the camera app, I stand up too early, but I’ll keep trying it. Lmk if it’s inconsistent for you too sometimes

For some reason for the north storage way I have to stop at the bottom of the stairs and not in front of the door. If I go in front of the door it doesn’t reach to the room. Is there a reason why?

I haven't really tried stopping at the stairs, but if it works for you then that's what matters in the end. I will try it out too. Are you starting from the same spot though?

I did the northern storage using the first method, and it is working very well. Is there any way to get into the basement room without having to open the gates first?

You can get to the basement without opening the gates using the glitch. But it is pointless to do as you still have to hack the keypad from inside to exit the basement.

Instead of going how far he is going, go to the left side of the wall you see on your left as you go down the stairs, and face the ocean. This is what worked for me after his didn't.

Nope, when you reach the ending spot, just don't press the sprint button. You can stay still or move using the stick. No other buttons to press.

Don't put the phone away completely. You only need to back out of Snapmatic and stay on the phone home screen. Or else the glitch is cancelled out.
