Love the update, especially the hunter sense. Just wish we would have gotten new scope or spotting scope and a 3rd weapon slot.

Whether or not the Gams is any good i don’t know yet but its certainly the best sounding gun in the game

I have been testing the Steyr Gams with Mules and Whitetails and don´t know bout you guys , but in my first kills, it has the penetration of a laser gun, and a wonderful sound....

definitely better than rem 270. but i can see the 308's cavity profile being more useful in some cases, but the new 270 is very nice

The 6,5mm Creed is competing with the 7mm-08 Rem. They are both around the same Energy ~3050j . But for some reason it seems that the 6,5 has much higher cavitie damage, the only explanation I have for that is that the 6,5mm must be a way faster bullet to transport the same energy on impact this for the cavitie expands later (deeper inside) while the 7mm already expands way earlier. Test a few shots on Caribous and they drop realative fast with just a lunge hit, but the chance of hiting a arterie or the heart is way higher imo.

my initial look was only at the numbers with them. My two questions are it seems that the 9.3 seems to lose as fast as the 350, so it seems a more close range weapon. The other is how well the 6.5 performs on shots that hit bone. It has a bit less energy than the big tier 5s. It also has a bit of a shorter cavity damage width and depth, so bone will knock both of those down, which could lower its effectiveness taking down animals.

Nice first info! The 9.3 may have a hidden talent of being the rifle to take down tier 5's at long range. It will probably be in tier 5 ranges further out and with great accuracy

Any GeForce Now players around? I bought the DLC as soon as it surfaced but I can't equip any of those rifles 😢 I see them from the store, labeled DLC. Anybody had this issue?

Interesting. I'm not sure. I haven't heard of anyone on GeForce now. That sucks though that the DLC isn't working. I'd recommend asking on their discord. They have a tech support section

@@bumblewoot I've already spoken to a GeForce Now technical support and filed a support request at Epic Games Store where I bought base game and this DLC. I shall try that as well, thanks 👍🏻 Tad bummed with this one. Was so stoked to hunt with new kit tonight. Life, huh? 😅

Thanks for the review on the update/weapons. Im stuck on a 16hr shift and cant wait to get home and peek at things! I have an odd observation. Why do you unequip the optics when you remove a firearm from inventory? On PS5 it remembers what scope you had on so you just unequip it with whatever scope you had and later if/when you re-equip that gun it will automatically keep that same optic applied. Does PC force you to unequip first? My first impression is the 6.5 seems made to impress more than IRL as with most hunters in my experience consider the round to be pretty light. Great for target and long range but not carrying much punch/energy on animals. Oh and that hunter sense is gonna be a great change. Hunting in evening with HS on was sucky so this will be nice not to be bumbling around in the dark anymore! :)

Hey Perry! Yeah the HS change is great =) I remove the scope from the rifles because I like them to be empty when I equip them. I like seeing the model without the scope, and I find it can take longer leaving the scope on as I change them so much. If I leave the scopes on I have to figure out which one is on it because I won't remember. It's just a thing I do lol. Hopefully live stream in 15 minutes =)

I want to bring attention to this update and how it has destroyed the experience for console players who prefer performance mode. I promise it's not an overreaction, the game is hard to enjoy as of yesterday. I think in order to improve the stability of the 30FPS "quality mode" the devs undermined performance mode. There are floating chunks of assets everywhere, assets including animals load in and out of the environment constantly in front of you. The pop-in distance is about 60 to 80yds and it is unbearable. Every 2 steps a dozen things load in and a dozen load out. I know its console but we love the game too and this needs to be fixed. Thanks for your coverage of the game Bumble

Bringing attention to this is indeed the thing to do. I have certainly seen these posts in the official woth discord channel. It was supposed to be a optimization patch was my understanding, but it didn't get it right. That's for sure. Looks like they tried to fix something and broke something else. There is a dev active on the official discord so I know they are aware. Who knows how long for another update though

Im gonna use the 270 and the 9.3x62 feels like a good combo. I do like the 6.5 creedmoors but they dont hit as hard. The SSG looks beautiful, and the Gams Sounds amazing.

Good combo. I may not use that combo myself though as the .270 and 9.3 will be fairly similar to what they can take down at range. The .270 damage has minimal fall off and the 9.3 has a ton of energy loss. Still fun though 😀

@@Trickened that sounds like a better combo yeah. The first combo was still good, but for me it would have a big overlap as I probably will treat the 9.3 as sort of a strong tier 5. Where the .270 is actually a strong tier 5. The 6.5 and sm12 .300 would be an extremely good combo I would think 😀

@@bumblewoot thanks. Hey i seen in your setting that you have vsync off. If you turn it on it helps with screen tearing and screen stutters when you look around.(smoothes your frames per second)
