Thank you! I’m new to PMU and have been struggling trying to shade with the pendulum hitting the skin in “both” directions. I just tried the one direction toward that you recommended and it helped tremendously!! 💋

Hi! :) how do you put the lip pigment ink in? Do you just dip the needle in it or actually put the ink in a cartridge?
@EllaClaire Жыл бұрын
I don’t understand the pendulum technique in blushing. It creates this type of shading where you can see the line between where it was shaded darker and you lightened up on the downstroke. I feel like a circular motion would produce better results. As a tattooer, that is how we are typically taught to pack color.
@oshunlove11 ай бұрын
Bevause the skin tissue is different on the lips and parking color in circular motions will tear the tissue up and cause a blotchy appearance when healed, where this will heal naturally pretty and natural looking

My machine has speed settings 1-4, which speed would be ideal for the lips, ive been using speed level 1 (the slowest).
@ericaroybal12 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you! I'm not sure what machine you are using but I would recommend you probably put your machine at the 2 or 3 setting. You don't want it too slow because you want a nice pixilation effect for the best look. You don't want too be too fast or slow, somewhere in the middle. So I would probably stay away from 1 and 4. I wish you the best of luck!

Hello Can u please tell depth of needle to be set? Also does the depth vary from person to person
@ericaroybal1 Жыл бұрын
Great question! I go over this all in my class- it is the most comprehensive training in the world! You can live stream from anywhere in the world. To answer in a quick way, the needle should be in the garage of the cartridge while off. It should be at the tip of the inside of the cartridge and then when the machine powers on, it will be the correct length. Also, the volume of the lips will need to be assessed, and change the depth based on this! Please DM me on insta if you need any additional help! @ericaroybal1

@ericaroybal12 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for your message! I do not believe that will make that big of an impact. The truth is that we need to train your hand how to move evenly to achieve this result. I am going to make a video on this topic and I will try and get it out within the next few weeks. Thank you!

Hi love the video! So you did 3 passes on the lips in different directions each time? Is that what you would do on a client as well or was this just on the latex?
@ericaroybal12 жыл бұрын
Yes, you absolutely can. But it is advanced to move like this. It is okay to move in the same direction and a desirable result is achievable.
@jenniferdominguez189 Жыл бұрын
I have trouble leaving little harder marks, do I need a lighter hand? I’m also doing the movement away from me. Are you doing the movement towards you?
@ericaroybal1 Жыл бұрын
This can be impacted by how you hold the device and move your hand. You should be able to shade in multiple directions, towards yourself, away from yourself, and in both directions. Shading is the basis for all modern permanent makeup- lips, brows, and liner. If you are not comfortable, please consider enrolling in our course from anywhere in the world and live stream for 5 weeks- permanentmakeupaestheticsclinic.com/132-hour-permanent-makeup-academy

@ericaroybal1 Жыл бұрын
Hello hon, A few reasons this can happen. 1. What is the color of your natural lips? 2. What was the technique and device the artist used? 3. How many layers of color were implanted? Please let me know these details and I can help troubleshoot!

@@myateixeira5691 Hello! Okay So the color needs to be neutralized. You need to use a neutralizer (yellow or orange color). Also, the depth of the work needs to be completed with respect to your lip volume. Do you have small, medium or large lips?

What needle length do you use for outlining vs shading? And do you use 1RL on whole lip or different needles for outline and shading?
@ericaroybal12 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for watching! It depends on the machine. Typically it is anywhere from 1.5mm to 3mm for the needle length. I only use 1RL on the entire lip treatment unless they want a lip stick effect. For a lipstick effect I start with a 1RL and transition to a 7RL.
