Coach my name is Keith Millard, former NFL player/coach. I really enjoyed listening to your teachings of coverage/adjust concepts. Nice!

Great video coach. Was wondering how or if the 2 read changes vs under center personnel ( 21, 12...). Changing to the 2 read this upcoming season and making sure i have all my bases covered. Thanks.

Great Vid coach! You made mention of spot & drop vs vision & break. Can you do a vid on identifying some more advantages and disadvantages to each? My school in Indiana run a 4-2-5 def with cover 3 as our base coverage. Players over run plays and trying convince my def cord to use this concept.

Great video I love the coverage quick 2 questions how to you defend in 2x2 set post from outside and post from inside? And Post from outside and dig or a 10-12 yard Deep IN from inside slot ? Years of playing this defense this is where my guys have problems

Good Morning Coach Hayes! Just came across your channel this morning. Excellent presentation and I learned a lot. What are you using to do your presentation? Markers and Board and how do you film it? Very cool stuff!

Coach what’s the difference between that 2-1 read (palms) and normal quarters versus a 2x2? I’ve watched quarters videos where they teach this exact read for a quarters base defense so I’m super confused
@CoachHayesFootball Жыл бұрын
All depends. Some coaches install read with quarters some tag it in the call. The downside to making it automatic is if coaches find out you do read vs 2x2 sets then oc can easily manipulate your defense. Hopefully this clears it up. Thanks for watching.
@dylanfalso1035 Жыл бұрын
@@CoachHayesFootball that makes sense. So your base quarters, are both flats linebackers?

1 question I had is that you said the safety is you secondary force player. In any 2 concept he is the deep player so shouldn’t the corner who would be your flat player on a vertical out concept be your secondary force player. Otherwise if your safety reads run and comes down and the run a vertical by 1 and an out by 2 you wouldn’t have anyone over the tip of 1.
@CoachHayesFootball2 жыл бұрын
Secondary force meaning second person to turn the ball back inside. Not meaning by position. Using the terms primary and secondary. So in 2 deep you are correct. Corner is primary force and safety is secondary force. Thanks for the question. Hope this clears it up. Much love.

Question #1 Wr runs a 9 #2 Slot runs a seam RB runs a bubble outta the backfield Who covers the bubble the Sam LB or CB?
@CoachHayesFootball Жыл бұрын
Sam will. Treat it like cov 4 rules. The #2 did not make an out breaking route so rules say play as 4
