In Depth Review: Chauvet Color Strip Mini

This is a very versatile light that has many different applications. Some of the applications are better than others, so make sure you know what you intend on doing with them first. Sub-par color mixing makes this not the best option for precise color matching.
This light is well constructed and some thought was put into what ways it could be used. However I think the DMX mapping is clumsy and I wish there were more channel modes to give better options to those wishing to use this light with a DMX controller.

I have 2 of these color strip minis can a dmx cable be replaced with a standard xlr mic cable if not why?

The power receptacles are IEC standard so the fixtures can work in countries that don’t follow the NEMA plug standard used in the US and Canada. I forget the plug spec but it’s common in data centers.

I have a question. I am thinking of getting this but instead i want to get the bigger version. Can i use the big one to replace 2 minis instead? I am trying to minimize the amount of things to carry so if getting the bigger strip is better than having 2 than i will do that

Is there a way to re-boot this thing back to factory settings? I messed up playing with it, I don’t have a DMX, and can’t it back to where I had it with factory settings. Thanks for your help if you decide to reply.

I actually have the same problem, did you ever figure out how to get the Color Strip back to StandAlone Mode?

This light sucks to be honest. I bought one to try out and not very satisfied. The on board screen is so confusing and sometimes seems unresponsive. The dmx side is very difficult to controll, and color mixing to make white is pretty bad. Im definitely returning this light to guitar center

I'm surprised anyone is still watching this video. I"ve moved on from these lights. I agree this is a terrible wash light, really only meant for effect lighting. My only hope is to use these at home in my man-cave.
