Thanks for doing this. Any thoughts on doing a demo on the 4080 machine? Any thoughts on how these musso brands compare to the breville?

will be doing more machines -- haven't used either of those two though. i think in general, the cheaper the machine, the worse the compressor. the worse the compressor, the longer to churn. if all you need to do is make a small batch every now and again for yourself/family, id just get a freezer bowl to be honest. above that, id go for one of these

Thanks for the video :) You mention the 5030 is the "second most powerful machine you can run on 120V", could you share what's the first most powerful ?

Really really informative review, thanks! If I plan to use this machine for consecutive batches, what's the maximum number I can produce without stopping? How many batches have you successfully made in a single session? Do you turn off compressor in between the batches?

thank you! yes to turning off the compressor between batches. you have to else you won't be able to extract all the ice cream and restart the mixing paddle. maybe for 5 minutes or so while extracting. you can make about 10-15 pints per hour.

Nice review. I’m purchasing one today. Where did you get your containers?

Visstun -- 2000 order min If i were to do it again, would prollly just order standard containers and print labels for awhile until i landed on a design i love. too expensive min order and my thoughts on how i'd label and how it should look on a shelf have changed

At 1.41 you have the screw lock nut and at 1.42 in the video it's been replaced. What happened there? Are you using a custom paddle?
@estuaryflow1142
@estuaryflow1142 7 ай бұрын
1.41 is the original part. i replaced with the nut as i found the original part occassinally very difficult to remove. i think if you wait till after machien has chilled to put on the nut perhaps this is less likely to occur. not sure if other owners have had this problem... but i was over putting up with it

@@estuaryflow1142 I was curious because I just bought one of these machines second hand and when I got home and wanted to clean it, I found that the screw nut was stuck. I bought some adjustable pliers from Amazon and I managed to release it very easily. I was going to send the pliers back but now that you say it can get stuck quite often I will most likely keep them. Thank you for replying to my comment.

@@daniels2423 if you use some very hot water it'll help loosen it up. i found using the pliers/wrench on the round nut very annoying. switching to nut/ratchet saved me 10 minutes of aggravation.

@@moojersey4556 Yesterday it happened again and hot water didn't help. However, I realised that the paddle didn't fit properly. The square hole on the paddle was smaller than the one on the shaft. The difference was small so I managed to resolve it by filing the paddle slowly while watching a movie using one of my wife's nail files 😃. I hope it was just that but if it happens again for it to get stuck, I will follow your method. I agree that is very annoying when you have to use a wrench to open it up.

Looks like an Emery Thompson CB-100. Wouldn’t be surprised if they made it.
@moojersey4556

Possible though it is definitely different. Emery claims a 9min freezing time and uses 404a refrigerant w possibly a more powerful compressor. At least it better be for 10k
