I would love a rundown of your version of the Celtic Cross. Not quite comfortable with the Celtic Cross so some other person’s insight is always helpful!

@@coreandarlionstarot Of course. I also thought that the Celtic Cross is rather confusing, and necessitated something far more intuitive. It is made by placing the first three cards in vertical alignment. These represent the “What” of the question. I also assign past present and future, respectively. The next two cards are placed left-adjacent to the center card. This is the “Why” of the question (notice that now the middle card of the vertical row has become the “Future” card). The next two cards are laid out similarly on the opposite side forming the cross. This is the “How” the question will be resolved. Now the final card will be laid diagonally connecting the bottom card with the two cards of the “How” spread. This is the “when,” which is contingent on the querent accepting the “call to adventure” that the cards are displaying.

@@bethanybromley9710 that.. is so frickin brilliant! I will be attempting this! I’d thought of just laying out a Celtic cross and just adjusting them into lines, who - why - how - when. But I’m gonna give this a shot and see if it’s something feasible. I’ve only done a few readings for querents but do you find this adjusted Cross works as a good general reading or would you lean more toward this as a “structured question” spread?

@@coreandarlionstarot It is the only spread I use. After so much practice and research I came upon this out of just the necessity of the simplex. Another thing, I also use the Platonist approach of assigning “Principal” to the first card, “Attribute” to the third card, and the middle card in each three-card spread, thusly is the “Reallity”.

I like to use the mirroring method. And I like how, if you mirror 7 and 10 (tower and death) it is showing a major transformation as death takes its sickle and hits the tower like it’s a golfball. Transformation in their perspective
