Great insight Christian! Last year, I worked on a film that had a 3 minute, single take, shot that involved writing music (circa 600 a.d China) to a brothel scene with musicians playing music while a dancer performed. The production wanted the music to sound like the musicians were playing it. It took a lot of work to line up strums, drum hits, and even a bamboo flute playing a lead line, all while keeping with the tension of the scene that was being setup. 90% of my cue was recorded live so the need to keep the tempo set without many changes was desired as we didn't have a lot of recording time with that Chinese ensemble hired to performed those instrument parts. Needless to say, when I was finished, I was extremely giddy and proud of what I accomplished. Watching you share some similar excitement was extremely validating. Hahaha. Well done!!

The reason you couldn't see the automation on your 1st & 2nd brushed strings was because the track was set on Region instead of Track automation (Little Blue Box) Just a heads up :) Great presentation, love the tone and the possibilities of this wonderful library! Thanks!

They’re really clean and tight: love that sound. You’re right, it really is about the definition.

Hey Christian and Spitfire. Really nice sounding dryer strings and very reasonable prizing as well. Only thing I would like to point out is that it's about time you dump Kontakt and start using your own interface. High resolution, easier to see and use, well maybe slightly too minimalistic but I prefer that all day compared to Kontakt's small grainy user interface. Also something I'd like to see sound wise (maybe just missed it?) are a palette of really deep digs (short, medium, long really long) where you really hear the bow and string work together.

What do you use the Stream Deck for? Also, you didn't link the reverb shootout.

Could some kind and knowledgeable person identify for me all the various controllers on his desk - particularly the little boxes to the left of his qwerty keyboard (but also the box of faders and the curved thing)? Would be greatly appreciated.

The little boxes to the left of his keyboard are by Palette Gear: new modular controllers that look interesting! The curved thing is Dangerous Music Monitor controller.

I love the modular nature of them and the small footprint. I'm tempted, too! Cheers
