Extra tips for those trying to learn Ullr. I feel like it's imperative to learn to follow up off friendly CC, or use your 3>1(bow stance) w/o the axe stun. from someone who started ULLR on console and now plays pc. If you can learn to utilize your 3>1(bow stance) w/o the axe stun, your ullr gameplay will skyrocket. If you know a ymir is 100% gonna land his freeze, or geb is gonna ult. and theyll be stuck in place or slowed. anticipate it and line up your 3>1(bow stance) you can save your axe for a follow up kill. Or if, for instance they dont die right away. The best ullrs are good with their combo even if their axe stun is on cooldown.

I have around 250 hrs on ullr and here are some extra tips for those wanting to play with him, I recommend not practicing in jungle practice due to the 0 ping, being a good ullr is very dependant on hitting your axes and the delay can be hard to get used to. Not sure if he said this combo but if your 1v1ing an immobile squishy, you can axe at max range, jump on them then give enough time to get them weak with autos, allowing the max range 3 to finish the kill. You can also shoot an arrow, swap to axe stance and gain the life steal benefit that comes with the axe stance.

Yeah, I agree I have 15 stars with ullr and some days I feel so fucking useless because I miss all my Axes- Theres such a fat delay when I throw it because of my ping it’s actually horrible..

+1 tip: in bow stance u can press 3, and spamming 2, then ur 3 will be buffed by second ab. Gl hf

@PandaCat Great content, man! Congrats on the win vs Sanguine. I'm pretty sure Panitom, Sheento and Netrioid have PTSD from Sam's Susano. That was a great match for the viewers. You guys are always fun to watch. Got a few questions regarding Ullr and I really hope you'll drop a reply at some point: 1. There's a theory going on that if you're AS capped (or close to it) with enough power in late game, you actually lose DPS by using your bow abilities after the axe stun instead of just AA-ing the stunned target. Any truth/thoughts on that? 2. You mentioned you never put a point in your 2 earlier than lvls 8-11 or so. But doesn't that make your combo weaker, since your 2 buff affects your abilities and your autos? Is 1 extra rank in the 3 really making up for the extra power you lose from not having the buff during your full combo? 3. I have this dread/rule of not having less than 2.0 AS on any ADC in late game that does not have an AS steroid (and even on those with AS `roids I still try to get as close to the cap as possible without sacrificing other useful stats). Would you say this is warranted? What do you think is the "sweet spot" where getting extra AS is just not worth the investment?

Top Kek Hey bud thank you for your support I appreciate it, 1. There’s no auto cancel or animation cancel for the 1 or the 3 so you can actually keep hitting autos and use your combo at the same time. I’d say if you hit a tank late game with an axe you shouldn’t worry too much about hitting the combo but for the most part if you’re fast enough you won’t lose out on autos by using the combo. 2. I don’t go the 2 early despite it being a super good ability because the base damage increase is more valuable to me. Using the two is extra mana used and an extra step early on, whereas just hitting your axe and then slamming them with a combo is just a lot more fluid. I honestly haven’t run the numbers to tell you what’s more damage, the 2 early on or just 5 points in each, so I’m not gonna tell you it’s better or worse. 3. That’s definitely not a bad rule to go by, hunters can feel kinda clunky with low attack speed, but I don’t think you should modify your build too much to break 2.0, typically speaking the pen build gets you over 2.0 and the utility crit shuriken tree does as well. But it’s still a good “rule” to go by for sure.

Thanks for the reply, man! I hope you'll stick to YT even if you'll need to take breaks every now and then due to SPL or just upload/editing burnout. Your content is amazing and some of us just prefer YT over Twitch for various reasons (time zone difference, bandwidth, convenience or personal preference). I really like the guides/theorycrafting and play by play content from both yourself and FineOkay, as well as FO's duels. Maybe you can think of more fun Smite content that you can upload which includes some of your team members, other than just regular conquest matches, as long as your time allows it? Just a thought, the interactions between you guys are awesome (gotta hit those!) I'm hopping in your Twitch chat as well from time to time, but time constraints generally do not allow me to be online most of the times you are streaming. Good luck in your SPL and hopefully you guys will be able to bring it home this year.

The problem with me is i can hit Axe most of the time but i can never complete my combo...at most i cant hit my 1 or 3 after the axe Cuz the stun time is over by the time i hit my 1 or 3...its mainly bcz i play at 250+ ping... And it makes me rage so i dont play ullr much.

How do you decide whether to go boots first or rush devs/trans on adcs?

If you are safe enough to not require boots is a good idea. Imo in ranked and casuals boots first always. I don't trust my teammates to ward and call properly. In a competitive scene you can trust your team more.

Αντώνης When I started playing ullr I was terrible at hitting his 1. What helped me is playing a lot of arena just spamming his 1 on cooldown. I know arena might be annoying or just not very fun to play but it helped me and now ullr is my favourite god.

If you missing consistently, try playing more aggressive, save your jump but get as close as you can to maximize the chances of hitting your axe, keep your camera down though so you can aa cancel into 3 and 1 in now stance.

Finn Flannigan you dont rly build titans bane anymore, if you’re going pen based you should get atlantas to replace titans and get other items like beserker shield and silver branch bow and quin sais and exe isnt really worth anymore

Bob Sawyer I have them all set on quick cast with the Savage layout but It’s still pretty hard to hit consistently. I just need to find a technique that works for me and hit the practice lab. Probably need to fine tune my sensitivity as well.

Nick Leon I too play ullr on console (6k worshippers) and I found playing on savage control scheme really helps (hail is on R1 for PS4). I really don’t like quick cast, just doesn’t work for me. I have his 1 on instant cast and 3 on normal. To hit the 3 more try adjusting your Y sensitivity, don’t be afraid to try a lower Y sens to have more control over distance of the 3

@@bigdeckchair2309 yeah i played on console till recently. 3 star ullr. i tried switching to savage. but couldnt do it have like 3k hours on original format. so what i did was learn to just not be scared to hail marry it at medium range. then eventually found the most effective places to drop it. even still having 4k worshipers if i play him on console from time to time. hitting medium range axe >3>1 is difficult. especially in stressful situations. its crazy, on KBM its literally every time from any range. so alot of it on controller comes from making the best way to utilize his 3 for yourself

Hello panda, I have a question I was wondering you could help me answer. How fast is the timing for you once you hit the stun to switch stances and then hit all 3 bow abilities in order of 231. I’ve been practicing like crazy but it seems like a very tight window to hit all abilities under the window of the stun. In the pressure of a game with a lot of random variables, it seems hard to do all the time. Do you typically use this combo often? Or do you just go for the stun SS 31? When do you fully get the full combo off with bow stance 2?

I use instant on all of them now. Unless you mean in general, I use instant casting as my casting type and change some abilities that have weird targeters to normal/quick
