can someone lightly scrape near the colored rings? Not digging into it or puncturing it per se.

It’s pretty hard to do. You can try but it would likely smear whatever you are trying to get out and push it deeper into the screen.

What plugs do your IEMs have? Is it proprietary or unusually recessed or something?

We use a fairly standard 2-pin connector. It’s been in use for quite a number of years with many manufacturers using it. We do recess them so the cable stays tight for stage use.

@@ajswanson Ok, I see, that's good. Is it 0.78mm? And that recession, is it standard? Would a generic replacement cable work? I live in Europe, you see, so getting a replacement cable shipped from the US would be somewhat of a hassle :P

San Jacobs Yup! 0.78mm. Most replacement cables will work great for replacement so you can get them in the EU not shipped over.
