Don’t know how you can limit yourself to 5. Used to fish Canada for big pike a few years. The only thing you needed was a standard red and white 3/4 oz daredevil. We always tried other lures but you only need the relatively small spoon. I think it was vibration that the fish were keying in on. We caught BIG pike but the fish on this video were giants.

1. Williams “60” (preferably blue) 2. Little Cleo 1 ounce (Chartreuse or orange work AMAZING) 3. Mepps Syclops (any colour works up here in Monetville on Lake Nipissing, but there’s something about this lure, man does it work. Caught my PB 41 inch, 26.4lbs on a lime green Syclops)

A selection of spoons, nice! Thats mostly what I use. Spoons will catch pike most any day, but I think getting the vibration and visibility right can be important. I think experimenting with the model, size, and color can make the difference between having to tease strikes out of half interested followers, and getting solid takes. And despite what the big tackle guys say, I think getting the vibration and degree of visibility right is way more important than the size. If a big pike figures the vibrations are right she's already coming in pretty committed, and if she can just barely see that lure from striking distance she'll strike just cause she's worried it will get away. A giant gaudy noisemaker lumbering along... any pike knows that stupid creature couldnt escape if it tried, and most times your going to have to work allot harder for your strikes.

Terminator titanium spinner bait. I have caught more pike and muskie on that single lure than any other. Nearly weedless, durable, flashy and attractive, with sure hooksets. Hell, the fish just attack and inhale it..also like the Strike King 1/8 Oz. Mini for smaller fish, especially small mouth.

No 5mepps comet brass with red spots and silver and red spots,,,Thee best bait of all is a dead or live rudd or perch .or a mackerel or smelt .It's the smell I think gets them going .

@@azviking139 I never saw your response... until now Eleven mile reservoir and spinney reservoir. They are next to one another in park county. I kid you not.. there are 5 and 6ft + in there. Go to the check in office for camping and you can see for yourself in pictures of them. Most are caught on boat trolling. I was shocked... you can catch them off the shallows to...

Colorado parks and wildlife have ruined the pike fishing in both lakes labeling them as trash fish and telling people to kill all of them. They have a pro trout anti pike policy.
