Rest in peace, Mr. Brenton Wood. You loves us Chicanos, but we love you equally. Without your songs and influence of Black soul artists like yourself Chicanos, especially of the cholo persuasion and lifestyle, would not be what we are now. Viva Brenton Wood! 🖖🏽✊🏽

I attended his concerrt many years He called me to join him on stage, he said I know you got it. I had a blast to dance and sing along with him. Love this memory. May he rest inpeace. Will continue to follow him.

I grew up listening to BrentonWood, Delfonics, The Manhattans, The Moments, Smokey Robinson, Temptations, Blue Magic, Bloodstone, Marvin Gaye, The Temprees and Etc in my home by my parents, aunts, uncles playing their music all the time. There music will always live on to future generations.

This is nice to rediscover him today upon the world losing Mr. Wood. Those two records were two of my favorites, right in the rotation with The Beatles and The Stones in my teens. I forgot about him over the years. I hope his passing was easy and free of pain.
