I agree we should go strong - being over 50 (and having attended the 82 reply as a teenager) I am sentimental about the cup - however agree there is a case to rest players like Smyth and Morgan...wont Marti go for Frey who would relish more game time coming back from injury and prove effective roughing up the Leicester centre backs....?

I think you may be right with the 1-1 prediction and I think your team prediction maybe close. I'd really like to see us go 4-4-2 and play Kolli and Lloyd up front together. Leicester's defence at the moment are more static than a Wallace and Gromit set during lunch break so some youthful pace and chaos up front could really cause them some problems.

Hey Conor are you going to the game? I will be there all being well. I am not fussed about team selection, I trust Marti bear in mind he eases players back from injury and he will consider Rangers needs for the next two away games, as well as Leicester's armour, so he knows what is best. To get a win against Leicester will truly bolster the team, providing they go for it. 2-3 win to Rangers. I sure hope the lads will crack that pathetic long standing record of consistently departing from the competition. As the team is on the up, then I take them to raise their game against PL opposition.

The only players I think we should rest are Nardi, for Walsh, Smyth for Saito (he has worked his backside off and could do with a rest, and his pace might not bring as much of a threat to premier league opposition), and perhaps Varane for Colback. Really I'd prefer us to make no changes at all, using Leicester to train our full strength side to be especially effective against Plymouth and Hull. Any more than three changes and you lose the team coherence and it becomes a group of individuals instead of a unit, no matter how capable each player is.

Can we give away Madsen to anyone who wants him PLEASE he’s absolutely useless, no presence no skill no effort. I have supported QPR since 1970 and Madsen is by far the worst midfielder I have ever seen, I personally don’t think we could give him away, who ever signed him should be sacked

I'm a dinosaur, me. Never been one for rotation, or prioritising one competition over another. No, keep a winning side playing together for as long as you can, only injuries and suspensions forcing a manager into making changes, playing players he wouldn't ordinarily pick. Making unenforced changes to a winning side, 9 times out of 10, only leads to regret. Pride has to come into it too, mate. QPR now have one of the most lamentable 3rd round exit records, if not the most lamentable, in English football. The sooner we start putting that right, the better. Come on you Rrrrrrrsssssss⚽️
