A great man for our troubled times. Jonathan Sumption is the voice of reason and moderation. He restores one's faith in humanity. So long as there are people like him, there is hope. He represents all the values my father Harry Vere Holden White of the SBS was prepared to defend and lay his life on the line for in the second world war and which have been thrashed and thrown out the window by recent Conservative governments threatening the very democracy people like my father fought so valiantly to defend. Shame on what is happening in the UK today.

Just realised how lucky we are as Australians after learning more about U.K. Wealth distribution.... We are No. 2 in the world for having 9 % of population as Millionaires after Switzerland 14 %... Still first nation people, refugees and migrants in Australia are so unfortunately

In a democratic society, it is very difficult to undertake minor and/or major reforms right across different platforms, economic, political and cultural, etc. There need to have a mechanism to do that otherwise the system will dwindle away and then fade away in the long run and replace with a lesser system.
