I think it's really interesting to note what Jake was saying about Mother Earth and Father Sky in Native American lore at 4:50 - this duality is a core component of Maori mythology as well, with Papatuanuku (the earth mother) and Ranginui (the sky father) being the primordial parents of Maoridom. Every time I hear this band talk about their work I am more impressed with the depth of their song-writing. This shit tickles my gills so hard.
