As a musician, this rendition is amazing. I never knew that the original was a polka song, which was great. But this version is just pure bliss, both with the positive emotions it gives and just musically. Hey man. Glad to know youre doing well. I have a question, if you dont mind answering i.e. how did you become so consumed by alcohol? Like I'm trying to understand a phase in my life when i was depressed and had to move back in with my parents. I remember i used to drink every night and mostly cry myself to sleep. It was not fun. But one day i just stopped because i could feel my liver bulging and i was not feeling great. Since then, ive never drank too much. Only on occasion, like every 2 months when im hanging out with friends or something like that. But also, i just dont feel like indulging anymore. Im not saying you should, but is it really that bad of an addiction that it you start you wont stop? Im genuinely not mocking you, i just want to understand how my predicament was similar, but i still drink. Yet i only do it rarely. Idk, it's like a switch in my head, i just dont feel like drinking too much.

In my early 20's, I was a college dropout just drifting through life with no aspirations and a dead end job. I was treated as a failure by my family and thought of myself as such. I didn't have a support base to help me get sober. Don't worry about moving back in with your folks. The way I see it, it's been happening more often than not. The way I see it, being under your folk's roof is much better than being on the street. I refrain from it entirely because I know I can't control myself. The minute I have a glass of beer, whiskey or rum, my mind is going to tell me, "I need more of this!" What I loved was that numbing sensation on my tongue along with my troubles, temporarily. I'll end up drinking more than I should have. Making it home safe and sound was always a toss up on payday. There were occasions where I woke up sleeping on a train platform or cart and another in Brooklyn Central lockup. Thankfully, as fate would have it, I had an ex of mine encourage me to go to AA and ALANON. It changed my life for the better. I always tell people struggling with their alcoholism to go to a meeting if they're looking to quash their habit and be selective with your friends. You don't want to be around people who will enable your addiction. Those drinking "friends" of mine weren't. Looking back now, being drunk in public was one of the most degrading and humiliating things I ever underwent. A decade sober and I turned my life around for the very best. It was the best decision I ever made and I'm not looking back! From what I gather from people who relapsed, your body never forgets its tolerance and can pick up where it left off.
