You are so awesome! An organized day runs so much smoother! I use binders as well, They work great and only take up one shelf. I do place a folder into each binder to hold any smaller papers so the sides of the binder don't get too crammed with stuff and rip.

How do you feel about emergent curriculum? Do you incorporate any in your day?

Emergent curriculum is where you go based off of the child’s Interests correct? I do this with the toys that I have out. It’s hard to make a lesson plan for 6 children when all have different interests. Not impossible , but challenging. I just display toys that revolve around their interests vs an entire curriculum.

I’m actually in the process of organizing everything in a closet . I am thinking of using those cute photo boxes from michaels and just storing them in there until I need them again. My goal is to develop 24 themes because that’ll cover me for 2 years and I can rotate them . I will develop more , but I’ll be over preparing myself at that point .

I don’t think it’ll confuse them . Just try it out and see how it works . If the kids can learn at that pace , good . If not , spread it out again.
