Just untangle the each row of lights up at the top by the star so they hang more evenly and are twisted. Love it though.

What a beautiful memorial for your pecan tree. It looks beautiful. If you were wanting to make it fuller around the pole of the tree you could get some of those tree trunk lights to wrap around the pole or the ones that drape over the hedges, that kind of cascade down. Maybe that would give you fullness around the trunk, if that's what you wanted...

Canadian here. Tell Cayden and Connor to bend your knees while skating. Push off with one foot with body balanced on that leg and then the other leg comes forward and the body follows so you are kinda going side to side a bit with each glide. Before you know it you are flying down the ice. Then try it going backwards! Use one of those skating walkers on the ice until you feel confident. Helmets should be mandatory as a head hitting the ice not only causes many concussions but has killed people due to blunt force trauma.

Great advice. My grandson has been on a hockey team since he was 4. He’s now in 9th grade and on his private high school varsity team on a scholarship. Helmets should be mandatory along with neck guards - accidents happen.

​@@bestofflorida7650 i am somewhat annal about helmets ever since at university a good friend died because he fell skating and hit his head in the wrong place while ice skating ⛸. This was in 1972 and nobody wore helmets then especially not hockey players.

Since the pecan tree had special meaning to you, you should get your Pops cousin to make you a bowl or something from the wood to commemorate the tree. You'd have it forever and it can become a family heirloom for you children.

I made myself a copper Christmas tree... It's so pretty😍. Got a 5 foot copper garden obelisk (tall pyramid shaped trellis for plants to vine up) and some flexible copper tubing that comes in a flat spiral, attached the center of the spiral to the top of the obelisk and pulled it down till it spiraled to the bottom, added some lights, grapevine and ivy. Stunning and would be a durable outdoor decoration as well.
