Wow! OP's family have no compassion towards disabled people 😕. Horrible people 😔 They want OP to be their ATM, nothing more. 2: John doesn't deserve a wife like Emily, she's better off without him. A fool and his money are soon parted.

I was paralyzed from the waist down for several months due to complications from having Multiple Sclerosis. As my husband, Bill, my two minor children, Alana (9yrs old) & Will (6yrs old), & I lived in an up & down duplex (the 3 bedrooms upstairs & the living quarters were downstairs), I did have some difficulties with properly caring for my children so far as their bedtime routine but I did take care of them well enough. As for the housework, the only thing that I couldn’t do well enough within reason was the sweeping. It’s kind of difficult to use a broom & dust bin while living my life in a wheelchair. So my children helped out when they got home from school every day. There were other changes that had to be made on how the set up of the household items were concerned, but that was mostly how the kitchen was set up so far as where to spices, recipes & other cooking items were concerned so that I could continue to make healthy meals for us all every day. I even had to start picking up groceries that were in box type meals so that I didn’t have to take all of the usual long way steps to make some meals … even though I wasn’t very happy about it, but I had to do whatever I had to to continue to care for my family as best as I could. I was luckily in one way though … I wasn’t able to do everything but, because I had a husband to help me out when he was @ home, I didn’t qualify to someone to come in to deal with the housework &/or cooking. However, my children was willing to do whatever they could & Bill would take the supper that I prepared every day from where I cooked it either the stovetop or the oven & put it on the table for us to eat. About 2 months after I finally was able to overcome my paralysis I was able to put everything back to the original places that I had had them before I was paralyzed but we wound up having to moved because I had too much of a problem tending to the normal, pre-paralysis issues … as well as getting away from the cause of my paralysis that resulted in forcing us to move before our lease was up because the company that we paid the rent to every month refused to do anything about the people who had caused my paralysis … even though the person whose actions caused my physical difficulties were also renting from the same property management company irregardless of the multiple amount of police reports that were coming in because of the guy’s actions/disregard for the neighbours complaints to the police department. The police were being called to come deal with the guy pretty much every day/evening to force him to stop his actions that resulted in every living quarters in a 6 or 7 block radius … he had a sound system that caused everything to vibrate with the rhythm of a human heart’s beat … but without the sounds of the words of each song he played. The place we moved to was the opposite of our duplex that vibrated everything. The bedrooms were downstairs & the living quarters were upstairs. That gave me the ability to go up the stairs when I had the energy to use the stairs for the most part but, at bedtime, all I needed for energy was just having to go down the stairs whenever I had to go to bed. In total, I was “forced” to use a wheelchair for 5½ months, a month on a 4 wheeled walker & a month with a single cane … as I couldn’t use a cane in one of my hands without risking that hand from locking around the head of the cane & only getting tighter & tighter onto the handle until my fingers could be pulled off of the item in my hand one finger at a time. Yes, it did hurt terribly to force my fingers away from the item in my hand but it was far easier, & less painful, than leaving my hand around the item in my hand. I still have problems with that “little” issue but now it can happen with either hand, so now I have to be very observant as to the advisability to use the one hand or the other each time I go to grab/hold onto something. When I was still in the wheelchair I never let it get me down. I may have had to use a wheelchair but I didn’t let that fact it didn’t define who I was … disabled. Whenever anyone expressed compassion that it was such a shame that I was disabled so young ( I was only un my mid twenties but looked several years younger) but I told everyone who said that to me that “I’m not disabled. I’m just vertically challenged.” Pretty much everyone got a confused look on their face but, for the most part, everyone would suddenly smile & congratulate me on my positive attitude to my situation. But then there was the uncommon person who would actually get mad at me for “putting down all disabled persons” … which was ridiculous as I wasn’t speaking for anyone else, I was only talking about myself. There were a few other circumstances that I “made fun of being confined to a wheelchair” … I never had to worry about finding a chair to sit at a table with anyone else, I had brought my own. Never had to worry about getting too tired to stand in one place or walk too far without finding a place to sit & give my legs a rest either. Once again, I had brought my own.

Where is the husband in all of this. Does he love the woman who has special needs and bedridden, working in BED all day??? Sounds like he has someone and cares less. She doesn't even have a wheelchair bec her husband and I inlaws don't care about that. She should look into what other help is given to people in her situation. Her husband is doing nothing. That says a lot. 😢

Disability doesn't deprive one from achieving his/her dreams if a determined person. People work from home, while some go outside without working. Looking down on others whom one thinks is less privileged doesn't make one look good.

She’s practically physically disabled, and shouldn’t complain. You got to try your best, but it’s having people calling you names because of your condition. Oh my gosh I’ll be out of that house before you know it receiving disability funds, you could afford a place on your own, so we’ll see what she does now back to the story… I hope everyone’s having a fine evening🌄😅 12:42

It really does not matter is a person is disabled. I went from a man who was a workaholic. I screw up my spine so badly i could not walk unadded. 2 surgery screw me up worse. I was declared 100% disabled jan of 2010. I start a small business in 2014 and have made close to what i was making before i became disabled. I 1 tragady was my marriage . It is over , but i am worth a 35% discount on property taxes on our home. I am in the middle of setting up to leave America. But i do not have to rush. It happens to so manby of us.

The case will go faster than others because, there are. those who are guilty who voluntarily went to the police, blows everything including their part in it, the police found everything to be true , creditable evidences were presented.. Why do Americans call disability (not inability) handicapped? It so derogatory. Handicaped pre assumes disadvantage. I have worked with a deaf girl who was a mansger and dealt with people and she was very capable in every way. What about the people who take part in the " Special Olmpics". So unfair to discount people on phyical disabilty.
